Sephi was at home alone, except for Cerberus. While she enjoyed her solitude, she hated being lonely, and that was what she was: lonely. He hurt her for her friends and family. Reginald was important to them and loved more than he could know. Cerberus whined beside her on the bed. She leaned over and wrapped her arms around the massive dog’s neck. She had been trying to sleep for the last hour and had given up hope. Sephi ruffled the dog’s fur on his head and sighed. “Cerbi, you are so sweet. You know I’m upset, and it bothers you,” Sephi said as she held the pooch’s face in her hands. “Why don't I call Zach and see if he would want to bring everyone over here? You would have a boy to play with. You haven't met Chris, but you will love him. He is a lot like Zach was when he was a boy.”
