Chapter 45
Thea huffed as she sat on a stool at her kitchen island. Zach chuckled as he began to cook breakfast. Thea wanted to help with the meal, and Zach was determined that she continue to rest as much as possible. After much begging and pleading, he had finally convinced her to sit and watch.
“Have you decided what you would like? Name it, and I will attempt to cook it,” Zach grinned.
“I would like a bacon and egg sandwich on toast. Please,” Thea said as she smiled sweetly at him.
“Good choice. I will make one for each of us. Do you want to eat outside?”
“That would be nice. The hummingbirds are fun to watch at this time of morning,” Thea said as she glanced at the empty coffee pot behind him. “Would you like me to make a pot of coffee for us?”
