The day seemed to drag for Sephi. She, Melanie, Thea, and Roxy lounged by the pool in their bathing suits while Darius, Chris, and Zach played video games inside, with Cerberus keeping them company. Roxy had decided to keep Chris out of school until the following week and possibly longer. For now, the two families needed to lean on one another as they made the many arrangements that needed to be made since his death.
“We need to go shopping,” Melanie said out of nowhere.
“I might regret asking this, but what do you think we should shop for?” Sephi asked with a sigh.
“Nothing in particular. Just shopping. We should roam the stores and see if we find anything. I also need to drum up a few new clients to shop for, so maybe we can make it a combination of work and family fun,” Melanie said
