The women in the kitchen heard Zach chuckling as his footsteps neared them. When Hera walked in behind him, Melanie and Sephi giggled with delight. Thea gave her a polite smile and a nod of her head as she continued to work the dough in her hands.
“Hera! We were just talking about you!” Sephi exclaimed as the women hugged. “I would like to introduce you to Thea. She is Zach’s girlfriend and the most remarkable chef I have ever met. Please say you are staying for dinner. I promise you will not be disappointed.”
Hera looked out to see Zeus at the patio dining table and smiled. “I would love to stay for dinner. Thea, it is a pleasure to meet you. I’m sure everything you cook will be delicious.”
“The pleasure is mine. I hope I can live up to your expectations,” Thea replied.
