Thea was asleep before they arrived at Zach’s house. She was exhausted from the day and the events of the proceeding days. Zach got out of the truck and quietly closed his door. He rushed inside to turn down the bed and left the front door open as he returned. He smiled as he opened the truck door, unfastened her seatbelt, and gently lifted her from the truck. He closed the door with his elbow and carried her inside to bed.
Zach carefully lay Thea on the bed and removed her shoes. He sat beside her and smiled at how peaceful she looked. He wanted nothing more than to undress her and feel her skin against his all night, but would not. Doing that without her permission would cross a line that he would never cross with her, no matter what he wanted.
