“Finally... we’re home,” Vania whispered softly as she opened the door to her house.
Devandra gently touched her shoulder. “Are you sure you don’t want to rest first? You haven’t slept since yesterday.”
Vania shook her head slowly. “Not until Tania is in her own room. She’s been trapped in darkness for too long. She needs to see this house again… to feel safe again.”
Tania, helped by Adrian as she stepped out of the car, gave a weak smile. “I’ll never forget this… everything you’ve done for me.”
“Alright, no more talking. You need a warm bath and a long sleep,” Devandra replied as he opened the guest room door.
Tania looked at Vania with teary eyes. “I thought… I’d never make it back home. I heard Revaldo talking on the phone. He said… I wasn’t important enough.”
