LUNA, BEHIND YOU! The warrior's voice shouts through mindlink, but it's too late. Not that it would matter if I turned and attacked the one behind me, as I'm now surrounded. Before becoming Luna, I was the strongest warrior of my family's pack. I let this get to my head and ran off alone to catch the rogue who tried to escape the battle they began on our land. I wasn't expecting a handful of them to be waiting deep in the woods for me.
Within seconds, the other warriors and George join me, but I'm already on the ground. I feel as if my organs are falling out of my wolf form. This is it. I'm going to die due to my huge ego. Everything goes black, and the last voice I hear is George's.
