Suddenly Vanessa stood up. That calm and collected girl was gone and Caleb could literally feel her panic. “EXCUSE ME?” She screamed. “You want me to do what? I’m just supposed to give everything up? Why? Because you told me to? So that I can help fight some invisible threat I know nothing about and not even sure exists?” She was furious. Caleb could feel the anger flowing off her in waves. He remained calm and kept eye contact with Vanessa. Caleb could hear her roommates rustling around in a panic and he needed to calm her before they came in.
