“Caleb! What did she mean? What’s happening?”
“We have to go now, Vanessa,” Caleb said urgently as he slipped on his t shirt, “I have no time to explain. Get dressed!” He ran out of the room and Vanessa could hear him fumbling around.
Trying not to panic, Vanessa started to get dressed. She knew this could happen. Caleb explained to her the plan if they had to leave in a hurry. She knew Caleb had emergency bags packed for both of them ready to go as well as an escape plan. But, even with everything planned out, she couldn’t help but to freak out a bit. Vanessa never allowed herself to believe it could actually happen. She was so sure they were just being overly cautious, but here they were at 2 am trying to run away in a hurry.
