Mabel Quin’s POV

“ What are you doing here?” Another voice spoke and I quickly turned around to see Tasha and Aria

“ Oh my God, that was creepy.” I said, patting my chest. I wonder how long they have been there. I’m not about to start explaining why I came out of the hockey captain’s room.

“Mabel…” Tasha called again. “Why were you in there?” She asked again.

“I… I .. uhmm ..” I tried to say, but I couldn’t get any words out of my mouth. Instead , the sight of Mr Captain kept playing in my head making me blush.

“ Hehe..” Aria teased. “ It seems our dear Mabel has been trying to be low-key about her relationship with Mr hockey captain.” She said tickling me and I blushed even harder.

“ Oh my God really …. Mabel you managed to hitch Dante. Like the hockey captain.”’Aria asked. I swear I could see pride in her eyes. However , after allowing her word to sinks, I lost the stupid smile on my face.

“ I …” I tried to say something , maybe just refute or anything but I couldn’t. The look on both Tasha and Aria is one I have been longing for. I felt like I belong again, I’m among the cool kids one more time.

“ Tasha…. She is blushing. Our girl definitely made a good catch.” Aria squealed, linking her arms around mine. “ Why don’t you introduce us , he is in there right?” Tasha asked , walking towards the door and quickly i moved right in front of her, blocking her entry. “He is … errmm” I scratched the back of my trying to pick a safe word to say. “ He is naked.” I said fumbling with the sleeves of my clothes. Right now, I don’t need a mirror to know that my face is as red as a tomato.

“ Hmmmm.” Both Tasha and Aria face themselves smiling.

“ wow…. Mabel , I had no idea you also do it.” Tasha winks.

“ Wait.. do what?” I asked and then it clicked. They think I just had s*x with Dante.

“ No no no …” I tried to explain but I couldn’t explain instead my cheeks kept burning red.

“ Don’t worry Mabel, we will keep your secret.” Tasha said.

“ Alright girls, let’s look for where to sit , so we hear the full gist of Mabel and the hockey captain.” Aria says, dragging me towards an empty classroom. After we entered , Tasha made sure to secure the locks.

“ Alright spill. How did you do it ?” They said in unison. Their eyes were shining brightly full of expectations. I feel like some goddess who just managed to catch an incredible god.

Dante of course is incredible. He is the defense man and captain of the Armstrong university hockey team. He is popularly referred to as Mcdreamy because is indeed dreamy.

“ Mabel …” Tasha shakes me a bit.. “ Start talking.” She says.

“So…” I say swallowing my saliva. How do I explain something that does not exist? Maybe I should tell the truth. A look at both of them dead that thought in me. If I say something otherwise from their thoughts right now, the look of excitement in their eyes would disappear. I’m sure they will start to remind me about how I would leave the squad if I don’t manage to get a boyfriend before the next seven days. I can’t risk that, so no , I’m not telling the truth.

“So …” I said, raising my head to meet their expectant gaze.

“ Okayyy quit the suspense already.” Aria says. It obvious she is getting impatient.

“Okay.. we met at the club and immediately we hit it off. At that time I didn’t know he played hockey. Now that I think about it, they came to the club to celebrate their win after a game.” I said briefly.

“ Really , you go to a club.” Tasha asked not believing me. It’s so obvious that she is skeptical but I don’t care.

“I didn’t want to go. However , it’s Emma's birthday and she insisted on going to the club. What can I do ?” I explained. Everyone knows my sister is the opposite of me. She is everything I’m not. While I find it hard to socialise, it is a piece of cake for Emma.

“ So .. are you saying that you guys met , just three months ago.” Aria asked, trying to connect the dots.

“Yes …” I said nodding my head not sure if they both my lie

“ Oh my God ! Mabel bagged Dante Rossi .You see Tasha, you should go to a club once in your life, who knows , you might meet with Ryland Fox.” Aria said jokingly.

“ I still can’t believe it happened just like that. My God Mabel….” Aria squealed. “ Mabel, you are so lucky. What I would give, to be you right now… I don’t know.”She says and I can't help but smile widely. Seeing the look on their faces , I felt accomplished and fulfilled.

“ So when are we getting introduced?” Tasha asked again , snatching away the genuine smile on my face. For a moment, I wasn’t sure of what to say.

“Eeermmm.. soon enough.” I said, forcing a smile.

“When…” She pressed further , and just before I could answer the school speaker sounded.

“ Mabel Quin , reports to the advisor office now.” Upon hearing that, I heave a sigh of relief. That’s a good safe.

“ Girls .. we will continue this later. Right now , I need to go.” I quickly bolt out of the classroom, heading to the advisor office.

I must remember to treat the advisor later. While I may not know what she needs me for , I am happy to be saved for Aria and Tasha.

“ Gosh…” I groan inwardly. But wait. What am I supposed to do now? I just told a whole lie about my relationship to my friends. Just where did I get the courage to do that from?

I knocked once and entered the advisor's office. “ ma, you asked for me…” I said , closing the door behind me.

“ Oh yes Mabel I called you in.” She says and just then I noticed the person in front of her.

Dante Rossi!!! Warning bells rang in my ears.

“What is he doing here?” I asked no in particular, still in shock.

Oh no ! Did he come to report me ? I looked at him again and realized that he was smirking at me.

“ Oh my God!” My soul immediately packed its bags and left my body.
