Fey He’s gone for an hour when I hear that something has happened. Nobody tells me, obviously. Lane seems committed to trying to get me to fall in love with him, but I am still a prisoner, I am sure I will be the last one they tell if anything of note happens, but I can hear the shift in the movement. Or more accurately, the absence of movement through and around the building. It’s like the guards all stand a little straighter. And people or wolves or whatever you want to call them, outside, change. They become hyperaware of everything around them. The most obvious sign, however, is Lane walking out into the clearing behind the building and changing into the black wolf before galloping into the forest.
