Fey It feels like the blood in my legs has been replaced with acid with how much my muscles burn. My eyes shoot over my shoulder and confirm that the wolf is indeed still chasing me. It's so dark I can only make out a silhouette but I know a wolf when I see one. Refocusing on the path ahead, a shiver runs through me as growls echo from behind me. I don’t know who it is behind me, all I know is that every fiber of my being is screaming at me that whatever is behind me is dangerous. I push my legs harder, swerving to avoid trunks as I weave through the forest.
