Lane I am holding my breath as Fey tells me her story. I watch the ghost of a smile that haunts her lips when she begins talking about the things she liked to do as a child, and it warms my heart a bit. Then she gets to the attack and her face changes. I can see how much this haunts her; She’s pushing out the words like her body doesn’t want them out. Almost choking on them. I have to force myself to calm down while I’m untying her, so I don’t hurt her. My temper is rising. When tears spring to her eyes, I have to clench my hands into fists to keep from hunting down the asshole who did this to her and killing him. She finishes her story none too soon as I don’t know if I could handle hearing much more before I snap. My blood boils toward the end when she explains how that mutt bit her. I
