Lina’s channel grew rowdy after the special effects of the reward splashed onto the screen. The chatbox scrolled up speedily.

“Oh my God, it really is Gentle Heart. That would mean the live stream on the 18th is legit.”

“It must be. Gentle Heart just made an appearance.”

“Chestnut Sandy really is something. She actually got to Gentle Heart! No wonder she’s the campus belle.”

“I can’t wait for the live stream on the 18th. I want to know which rich family Gentle Heart is really from.”

I watched the fast-moving bullet chatbox, and a wicked smile appeared on my face.

The effect of this warm-up was not too bad.

The next thing to do was to wait for the live stream on the 18th.

When that day came, I would make sure Lina paid for what she had done.

I was thinking about the next step in my plan when our class teacher, Cherry, came into the classroom, her high heels clicking. “Quiet, everyone. It’s time for class.”

I quickly turned off the live-streaming app when she entered and began focusing on the class.

I returned to Waterfront Paradise after class ended.

The moment I stepped out of the elevator, I saw Macy hanging around my front door with something in her hand.

“What are you doing here?” I asked grimly.

“Young Master Lang, I know that your place wasn’t fully furnished when you moved in, so I brought you some extra items. I hope you don’t mind.” She lifted the bag in her hand after saying this.

I knew the reason she was trying to approach me, but I decided not to be mean about it. She was helping me, and it was not right to just brush her off.

I grimly said, “Come in. I have something to say to you too.”

I opened my door after that and gestured for her to come in.

“What do you need from me, Young Master Lang? Don’t worry, I will do anything within my capabilities.” Macy did not sit down after she entered my house but looked at me quite officially.

“It’s nothing much. I need you to not mention anything regarding the supreme black credit card.”

“Don’t worry, I won’t say a word.”

“I hope you don’t, otherwise, don’t blame me for taking action. Also, about this rental, since you’ve been generous enough to give me a good price, give me your account number and I’ll make up for whatever loss you’ve made from this.”

“Young Master Lang, there’s no need for that. It’s already an honor that you’re renting my place, so how could I ask you for more money? By the way, is your girlfriend back yet?”

She began looking around as if trying to see if Montana was there.

“Don’t ask questions about things you shouldn’t know the answer to,” I said coldly.

“I’m sorry for being too brusque.” Macy apologized immediately.

“By the way, Young Master Lang, can I look around the house?” Macy suddenly asked with slight embarrassment.

“Don’t worry, I don’t mean any harm. It’s just that as your landlord, I need to check if there’s anything wrong with the house, so I’ll be able to immediately settle any problems you have.”

“Go ahead.”

I replied to her nonchalantly and went to lie down on the sofa.

A look of delight appeared on Macy’s face when I agreed, and she began to check each room.

When she was done, I noticed the smile on her face had gotten wider as she walked toward me.

“What are you being so happy about?” I glared at her as I said.

“Well, I see that the young miss before isn’t sharing a room with you.” Macy tiptoed around the topic carefully.

“Yup, we aren’t at that stage yet.” I did not deny the relationship between me and Montana that she was suggesting.

Macy would realize it sooner or later even if I said nothing.

“Well, she… She really is missing out,” Macy said with a sorry tone.

Despite that, she could not hide the look of delight on her face.

I could guess what she was thinking, so I coldly said, “What? Do you think you have a chance just because I’m not with her?”

Macy quickly denied this. “No, it’s not that. How would I even dare dream of being your woman? It’s enough for me to be able to be your neighbor and watch you from afar.”

“It’s good that you don’t think that. You should forget about any intentions you might have. I have no interest in women like you.”

“I understand, I really do.” Macy kept nodding.

“Alright. If there’s nothing else, you should go. Also, don’t bother me again if there’s nothing important!”

“Yes, understood.” With that, Macy left and closed the door behind her.

Montana returned not long after she left.

When she came in through the door, Montana sniffed around and said with a strange expression on her face, “Freddie, why is there the scent of another woman’s perfume in our house?”

Was this girl a dog? Why was her nose so sensitive?

I was taken aback and quickly explained, “The landlord was here. She brought something for us.”

I pointed to the bag set at the side.

Montana was relieved. “Oh, I see. I’m warning you, Freddie, don’t bring random women back here without my permission.”

“Are you jealous?”

Montana’s face turned red. “You’re the one that’s jealous. It’s just that I’m quite particular with hygiene, and I can’t accept another woman being in my house. Let me know in advance if you find yourself a girlfriend, and I’ll move out.”

“Don’t worry. I won’t be getting a girlfriend, and I definitely won’t mess around in our house.”

I laughed as I said.

With that, I silently said in my heart that my wife did not count.

“That’s good to know.” A smile appeared once more on Montana’s face.

“By the way, did you watch the live stream today?”

“What live stream?” I asked.

“The one by Chestnut Sandy… Gentle Heart gave her a reward,” Montana said. She seemed to be holding a grudge as she looked upset.

She was acting like Gentle Heart had betrayed her.

“I saw it. Didn’t Gentle Heart give you a lot of rewards? All he gave Chestnut Sandy was one spaceship.”

“It’s different. Chestnut Sandy is his real-life friend. Who do you think Gentle Heart is? Why is he always giving me rewards?” Montana questioned.

“He must be wooing you. Isn’t that the game rich people are playing these days?” I said.

“That’s not right. He’s never spoken to me once besides giving me rewards, and he has never sent me a friend request… I have no idea who he is to this day.”

“You can send him a friend request if he doesn’t do it first,” I replied.

“I did, but he blocked all friend requests and rewarded Chestnut Sandy today. Do you think he doesn’t like me anymore and is now into another woman?”

I was speechless. Montana’s reasoning was too far-fetched.

Did she need to be jealous about something like this?

Women were indeed jealous creatures.

“Freddie, help me figure this out. Do you think he doesn’t like me anymore? Will he stop watching my live stream?”

“Urm… I don’t think that’s the case. I’m sure he must like you. Chestnut Sandy is always acting so flirty on her channel. How could she compare to you?”

“We have a group chat, and all the other live streamers are busy trying to butter her up. I’m completely overshadowed by her.” Montana pouted. She looked quite unhappy.

“Alright, alright. You should stop imagining things and hear me out. I think Gentle Heart has not been revealing himself because he doesn’t like publicity. This Chestnut Sandy is making waves and creating huge publicity over meeting him. Gentle Heart might end up being offended, and there’s a possibility Chestnut Sandy will get herself into big trouble when she live streams this on Monday.”

“That sounds reasonable. I hope you’re about right about this. If it turns out to be true, I’ll… I’ll…”

“You’ll what?” I gulped and could not help but stare at her breasts!

“I’ll cook you a meal!”

“Tsk, that’s it?” I replied with disdain.

“Hmph, I’ve never made anyone a meal before. You’ll be the first, and you’re still not satisfied?”

“I’ll be your first?”

I began chuckling.

Even though I knew she was referring to her first time making a meal, I could not help but see her words through the lens of a naughty misinterpretation.

“Forget about it. I don’t wanna talk to you anymore. I have to prepare for my stream.”

With that, Montana returned to her room.

I stopped teasing her and got up to return to my room as well and began to unpack my things.

My room was still a mess as we had just moved it. It would probably require quite a few days to unpack all the stuff.

Monday came very quickly, and it was soon time for Lina’s live stream.
