“Thank you, Freddie.” Montana was touched.

“Don’t worry about it. I’ll help you solve this with a perfect solution. Just focus on your class.”

I sat on the bed in a daze after the call with Montana.

It would be easy to kick Carl out of here.

However, there was slight difficulty in resolving this completely…

It was obvious that giving them the money would not work. The reason they had become such greedy people and were getting greedier over time was because Montana had been weak-willed, giving in to them at every step of the way.

I walked out of the room with this in mind.

Carl turned off the television when he saw me walk out. He smiled and asked, “How was it? Did you manage to contact my sister?”

“I did.”

“What did she say?”

“She said she doesn’t have so much money. She won’t be able to pull together three hundred thousand in three days,” I said.

“Oho, how is it possible that she doesn’t have the money? She’s a s**t who doesn’t care about her mother. She’s no better than an animal.”

I frowned when he said that. “She’s still your sister, no matter what. I don’t think it’s appropriate to talk about her that way.”

“What’s so inappropriate about it? She doesn’t even care about her mother anymore. I can talk about her any way I want. Have you told her about my plan? If she can’t get herself a rich man, I can help her find some. I know quite a lot of mobsters.”

“I think that won’t be necessary,” I said with a sneer.

“Why not? This is how she can get some quick money,” Carl said without thinking.

However, he suddenly realized something once he said this. He said to me in realization, “I was wondering why you’re so protective. You like her, don’t you?”

“That’s right. What do you think about me becoming your brother-in-law?” I smiled and looked at Carl.

“You?”

Carl looked me up and down. He did not bother to hide the disdain in his eyes. “Even though my sister is not much of a person, she has giant boobs. Just her boobs alone are enough to get people’s engines revving. You’re not good enough for her.”

“Who says I’m not good enough for her? I’m actually very rich. I’m a secret billionaire.”

“Secret billionaire?” Carl could not help bursting with laughter. “Would a secret billionaire wear what you’re wearing? And live in such a terrible place? Don’t forget you’re sharing rent with my sister. Sharing rent!

“Just look at your miserly self. If you’re a secret billionaire, then I’m the richest man in this f*****g country. But anyway, how much money do you actually have?”

“Why are you asking?” I pretended to look defensively at him.

“If you give me reasonable payment, I’ll be more than happy to pair you two up. I can’t guarantee anything else, but I’m still capable of helping you f**k my sister once.”

“Are you sure? You really must help me, future brother-in-law!” I smiled as I took out the supreme black credit card from my pocket.

“Get out of here. You haven’t told me how much you’ve got.” Carl took the black card in his hands and began to play with it carefully.

It was clear that he did not recognize the card.

“There’s this amount in the card…”

I put up one finger.

“Ten thousand?”

There was disappointment on Carl’s face. “That’s not much.”

“Yeah, it’s not a lot.”

I smiled but did not explain further.

Actually, what I had been trying to tell him by putting up one finger was that the money in the card could be spent continuously. However, he had mistaken my gesture.

“Well, ten thousand it is, then. It’s not much, but it’s enough for us to eat and be merry tonight,” said Carl.

“What about me and your sister?”

“Are you still dreaming about sleeping with my sister with just this amount of money? Stop daydreaming. I’ll just put in a few good words for you with this amount.”

That night, I brought Carl out with me for dinner outside.

After we were done, I brought him to Clear Mint Bar, which was near school.

Nine at night was the busiest time at the bar. There was upbeat music, and it was filled with loud chattering. It was quite lively.

Carl was obviously familiar with frequenting bars. He found a place to sit with ease the moment he entered, and he ordered a few glasses of beer.

The moment we sat down, Carl was attracted by a woman sat near to us.

“That woman is gorgeous. Do you know her?”

Carl pointed to a woman in red not far away.

I initially did not notice this person, but when he pointed her out, I realized that woman was our landlord, Macy Ziegler.

The person sitting next to her was also someone I knew well. It was Howard, who had just gotten expelled today.

Howard had clearly been drinking a lot. His face was entirely red.

By the looks of it, he had been harassing Macy, and she had no interest in him.

I was delighted to witness this. I said to Carl, “I know that woman. She tried to ask me out before, but I didn’t say yes.”

“She tried to ask you out?” Carl’s eyes widened, and he immediately burst out laughing. “You really do know how to brag. How could such a beautiful woman be interested in you?”

“I’m not bragging. I really am quite rich.” I emphasized my wealth once more.

“So you’re not bragging, are you? Why don’t you go up to her and ask her to kiss you?”

“What if I’m able to do it?” I smiled.

“If you’re able to do it, I’ll make sure you and my sister get together… If you can’t, that ten thousand belongs to me.”

“Alright. No problem.”

I took my glass of beer and walked toward Macy after that.

Macy was sitting at the bar with her head lowered as if thinking about something…

That was why she did not see me walking over. It was Howard who saw me first.

The fiery hate in his eyes burned furiously the moment he spotted me. “What the f**k are you doing here, Freddie?”

He had been expelled from school earlier in the day because of me.

Now that we were bumping into each other here, the hatred was apparent.

However, I ignored Howard’s rage and smiled at Macy. I asked, “Can I have a drink with you, pretty lady?”

Howard laughed when he realized I actually had my eyes set on Macy. “Freddie, do you think you’re able to ask Macy for a drink? You’re not good enough for her.”

Howard turned to look at Macy as he said this, as if waiting for her to reject me.

However, he had been mistaken.

That was because Macy lifted her head to look at me the moment she heard my voice. She was happily surprised and said, “Mr. Lang, are you really buying me a drink?”

“Yes, I am. May I?”

“It would be my honor.” Macy raised her glass as she said this.

Howard was stunned to see this.

When I saw this shocked expression, I suddenly realized that Howard must have been trying to ask Macy out for quite a while.

However, Macy was giving me all her attention, which was why Howard had not had much progress. He was at most just a pitiful rebound guy Macy was keeping around her.

It was exactly for this reason that Howard was astonished to witness this.

“Macy, how could you…” Howard looked at Macy in shock.

However, she was not in the mood to be bothered with him. All her attention was now on me.

“Mr. Lang, why are you suddenly buying me a drink? Is there something going on?” Macy knew me pretty well. She knew something had to be up for me to suddenly approach her.
