Once the Land Rover had driven off and vanished from my sight, I took out my phone to call Montana. “Montana, you can come home today. I’ve settled everything.”

“Settled everything?” Montana sounded astonished. “How did you do it? My brother is pretty difficult to get rid of.”

“It was pretty easy. All I did was give him some money, and he happily went out clubbing. I’m guessing he won’t be back in a few days.”

“You gave him money? Did you get kicked in the brains by a donkey, Freddie? I was trying to avoid him because I didn’t want to continue giving him money. Now that you’ve given him money, all my hard work is pointless!” Montana said furiously.

“Don’t get mad at me first. Even though I gave him some money, it will be worth the results. Just wait and see. When you next meet your brother, he will be a changed man,” I said confidently.

“Freddie, what exactly are you planning to do with him?” Montana asked curiously.

“Well, there’s no need for you to worry about that. By the way, if your parents or your brother call you on the phone to convince you to marry me, just say no.”

“Marry you? What are you talking about, Freddie?” Montana was getting more and more speechless.

“Urm… About that… It’s a little complicated, so I won’t go into it. Anyway, just do what I say, and we can definitely resolve this perfectly. If your father calls you to force you to marry me, just tell him that I have a sexually transmitted disease and that I’m a playboy. Or you can turn off your phone for the next few days.”

I headed happily to school after talking to Montana.

When I arrived at class, I noticed everyone turning to look at me.

Some of my classmates who used to ignore me were suddenly giving me friendly greetings.

I was not used to their friendliness. I preferred it when they were distant and arrogant.

It was not because I was being mean but because it was quite annoying to humor them.

When I got to my seat, Chris moved in close with a smile. “Look at your status in class now, Freddie. You’re moving up the ladder. Thanks to you, our other classmates are even trying to suck up to me now.”

“It’s probably because of Mr. Stone.” I chuckled.

“Freddie, tell me the truth. Are you the dean’s illegitimate son? Why is he treating you so well? I was shocked when you asked him to expel the entire class. I thought you were going crazy, but the dean actually agreed to it…”

“How could I be his illegitimate son, you son of a b***h? It could be because of Lindy that he was being nice to me.” I once again made use of Lindy as a cover.

However, Chris did not buy it this time.

“Do you think I’m stupid, Freddie? Lindy may have some money and she might work at Stamen Bank, but how would it be possible for the dean to give you leeway on her account? You’re hiding something from me, aren’t you?”

“I don’t mean to hide anything from you, Chris, but I really can’t tell you about it. Anyway, just trust me. I won’t do you any harm.”

“I know you won’t do me any harm, but you’ve been getting more and more mysterious lately,” said Chris.

I opened my mouth and was about to say something when the teacher entered the classroom.

“The teacher is here. We should focus on class.”

“Alright.”

The next class was International Finance, but I could not focus on it.

During our class, I looked at Nadia’s seat a few times… I discovered that she had taken leave and had not come to class.

She was probably resting in the hostel.

Perhaps it was also possible that she had no idea how to face me.

I returned to Waterfront Paradise after class.

I was delightfully surprised to see Montana finally home.

It seemed like she did not like Carl at all as she threw the bedsheets he had slept on into the garbage bin.

She quickly came out of the room when she saw that I was home. “You’re back, Freddie. What exactly did you do with Carl?”

“Well, it’s a little difficult to explain it in a nutshell. The important thing is that you can now stay here worry-free. The next time you see him, he will be a changed man who will listen to you obediently.”

“Is that true? That would be impossible. I can’t imagine Carl being obedient at all,” Montana said in disbelief.

“Of course it’s true. Just wait and see.”

“By the way, how much did you give him? I’ll transfer as much back to you,” said Montana.

“It’s fine.”

“That won’t do. I’m already very grateful that you came up with a plan for me. How could I let you spend money on it?”

“It’s really not necessary. To be honest, I really didn’t spend much at all,” I chuckled as I said.

I would never tell her that it was ten million. It would shock Montana.

“Well… Alright. I left some food for you on the table. Go ahead and help yourself. I’m gonna live stream now.”

The next week of my life went by happily.

I went to school in the daytime.

At night, I was back to Waterfront Paradise. When I was in a good mood, I would reward Montana with a few spaceships.

The only difference was that Lorne would call me every day to report Carl’s activities to me.

He had bought a Ferrari on the first day and gone racing in the streets during the daytime.

At night, he would be at the clubs with more than twenty princesses accompanying him while he had wild fun through the night.

The second day was similar to the first. He spent it in a drunken stupor.

He even got into a fight with some people in a bar. He beat them up because he thought they were looking down on him.

He invited dozens of young models to a villa he was renting on the third day for a s*x party and enjoyed a wild night.

A cold smile appeared on my lips as I listened to Lorne’s reports.

Carl had not disappointed my good gesture.

He was having even more fun than I had…

Nope. To be more accurate, I should be ashamed of myself. Compared to me, he was acting more like someone who had inherited billions.

On the seventh day, Lorne called me before his usual reporting time.

“Freddie, something happened. That Carl has gotten himself into trouble.”

“Oh? What happened?” I did not panic over this and was instead filled with anticipation.

“He r***d the Madam of the White Horse Club.”

He had r***d the Madam?

I had no idea what to say to this.

Carl was acting above the law. He was done having fun with money and had actually begun to have fun with the Madam.

“Well, that isn’t really anything serious, is it? He’s already slept with her, so all he needs to do is pay her some money.” It did not seem too serious to me.

“It’s not like that, Freddie. That Madam is Hector’s woman. In fact, his favorite woman. Hector has already announced that the rascal should be chopped up and fed to the crocodiles,” Lorne said nervously.

I drew a blank but later remembered who Hector was. He was one of triad leaders of the Four Seas Triad and had quite a fearful presence. He was not some minor underling.

I said to Lorne at this point, “Help me take control of the situation. Don’t let anyone hurt Carl. I’ll head over right now.”

“Alright. Please come quick, Freddie.”

I got myself a taxi and rushed to the White Horse Club.

By the time I arrived, I realized Lorne and Carl were being surrounded in the lobby.

There was no fear on Carl’s face, and he was shouting. “You dare hurt me? Do you know who my brother-in-law is? You’ll all be finished when he arrives.”

I shook my head, speechless at what he was saying. This rascal still had no idea how serious the situation was.

I quickly walked over at that point.

Carl shouted happily when he saw me. “I’m here, Brother-in-law, I’m here… These people are f*****g blind. All I did was sleep with one Madam, and they actually dared to stop me from leaving. They are totally disrespecting you, Brother-in-law. Hurry up and take care of them.”

“Take care of them?” A snigger appeared on my face. I suddenly lifted my hand and slapped Carl. “What the f**k are you shouting about, you i***t? Who’s your brother-in-law?!”
