Chapter 60

1766 Words
“Yeah, I wasn’t trying to hide this from you deliberately. When the time is right, I’ll personally tell you who I really am,” I replied earnestly. “It’s really alright. As long as I know that you are true to me, it’s enough. It’s getting late. Why don’t we turn in?” “Alright, let’s go to sleep.” I hugged her tight in my arms after that. The difference with this hug, was that this time, my hands stayed obedient. It was not long before we drifted off into deep sleep. … When I woke up the next day, Montana had left early in the morning. She had set breakfast out on the table. I knew that she did not want to see Carl, which was why she left early in the morning. I prepared to leave for school after I was done. However, I bumped into Macy the moment I got out of the house. I was on immediate high alert when I saw her. “What are you doing here?” “Why the animosity, Mr. Lang? I’m not going to bite you. Besides, didn’t I help you out the last time?” Macy licked her lips and gave me a seductive look. Just the look alone showed how amorous she could be. This woman was slutty to the bone. “Hoho, I’m pretty sure you’re dying to have a bite of me.” I knew very well that with my current identity, I’m pretty much like the character Tripitaka from the story 'Journey to the West’ where many demons were lurking around to have a bite of him. Coincidentally, Macy was an experienced foxy demoness out to have me. “Mr. Lang, this time, I’m here to see you for business. The renovation for the villa you bought at Cloudy Waters is completed. I’m here today because Yvette had requested me to inform you that she would like to invite you to the villa for a meal.” “The renovation is completed?” I was quite surprised. This has been done quite quickly. The efficiency is impeccable. However, I knew that anything can be done with money. If you offer enough money, it would not be a problem for the renovation to be completed within this time. Although, I was suspicious that this might be Macy’s scheme… I was worried that she was plotting something. This could be just like the last time with Nadia. She had given me orders using Cherry as a pretext and what happened in the end? I walked into a beautiful trap set up by Nadia. “You don’t think I’m lying to you about this, are you, Mr. Lang? What happened to basic trust between people?” Macy chuckled as she said. “Why didn’t Yvette invite me personally?” “She’s always shy about such things, and she knows that you stay right next door to me, which was why she asked me to extend the invitation to you. If you don’t believe me, why don’t you give her a call about it?” Macy took her phone out and passed it to me after searching for Yvette’s number. She did not look like she was joking, so I asked, “What time should I be there?” “This afternoon.” “If it’s in the afternoon…” I was thinking about how to reject the invitation. However, Macy quickly interjected, “You don’t have any classes in the afternoon, Mr. Lang.” This woman had actually checked my class schedule. I cursed at her in my heart and later nodded. “Alright. I’ll be sure to be there in the afternoon.” “Okay. I’ll pick you up at that time.” … I walked out of the school after I was done with classes in the afternoon and I immediately saw Macy waving at me while standing next to a red Lamborghini. Both she and the race car garnered a lot of attention. I was worried my classmates would spot us, so I quickly climbed into her car. I was pretty speechless about it when I got in. “Isn’t this just a meal? Is it necessary for you to be so showy?” “Mr. Lang, I borrowed this racecar. How can a normal car fit your status?” Macy smiled and said. I had no idea how to react to that. So, I said, “You shouldn’t do this in the future. I’m still a student right now and I don’t really want to stand out this way. Also, Yvette is the one treating me to a meal. What are you doing being busy about it?” This puzzled me. Yvette was the one treating me to the meal, not Macy. What was this woman doing by getting involved? All Macy did was smile at me when she heard my question, but she did not answer me. We drove less than ten minutes before arriving at the destination. It was the villa residency at Cloudy Waters. This was the first time I was stepping into a luxurious residency area since buying the villa. The district was elegantly renovated and there was quite a lot of lush greenery. It had a vast natural surrounding which fit its name of ‘Cloudy Waters’ quite well. Yvette was already waiting for me at the door when I stepped out of the car. This was my second time meeting her. She had on exquisite makeup today and dressed quite sexily. I could tell that she had put in a lot of effort for the date today. However, I preferred her usual natural self compared to how she looked today. Macy left once she dropped me off and I entered the villa behind Yvette. The villa was grandly renovated and looked very luxurious. While I was looking around the villa, Yvette suddenly crouched in front of me and began to help me change my shoes to slippers. I was taken aback and quickly tried to stop her. “There’s no need for you to do this. I’ll do it myself.” “Let me help you. I’ve seen it done this way in the dramas on television,” Yvette mumbled. “What sort of dramas have you been watching? You should stop watching them,” I said with exasperation. “Okay. You should take a seat. I’ll bring out the dishes.” She ran into the kitchen after saying this. I watched her beautiful figure go in… I gave a long sigh. It was apparent that Yvette was not acting as usual today. How should I put this? She was quite uptight to the point that I could tell that she was feeling very awkward. I could understand why. We were considered as friends before this. However, when I stepped into the villa today, I was the owner of this building while she, was the mistress that I was hiding. She understood the responsibility of a mistress. That was the reason why she was feeling awkward. … More than ten minutes later, Yvette had brought all the dishes out. It was quite a spread as the dishes covered the entire table. I was astonished to see so much food. “Did you…make all these?” “Yes.” Yvette nodded. She said with slight embarrassment, “I’m not sure what your favorite food is, so I made quite a few different things.” “You shouldn’t have done that. I’m not a picky eater.” With that, I picked up the utensils and began eating. Yvette was quite a good cook… Even though the dishes could not be compared to Michelin chefs, she did quite a good job compared to other home-cooked dishes. Yvette looked happy to see me eating so happily. However, the atmosphere at the table was still quite constrained… It was only normal to feel that way. I had only met her three times, including today. We did not have a deep relationship. Although, now that she was staying as my mistress, it made the atmosphere even more awkward. I wanted to minimize the tension, so I changed the topic of conversation. “By the way, how is your father doing? Is he better?” “My father has recovered and it’s all thanks to you, Sir,” Yvette replied politely. “Sir?” This made me feel slightly uncomfortable, so I said, “Don’t call me ‘Sir’. It feels pretty strange.” “How about ‘hubby’?” Yvette’s face turned quite red. “…” I had no idea how to reply to that and I decided to give up correcting her. She could just call me whatever she wanted to. Moreover, since we were on the topic, I decided to be blunt about it. “Yvette, I bought you this villa because I wanted to repay. I didn’t have any other intentions in mind. There’s really no need for you to be my mistress.” “Is…Is it because I’m not pretty enough?” Yvette asked in a small voice. “It’s not that. I think you’re very pretty.” “Am I…not slutty enough?” Yvette prodded carefully with her question. “Macy said that I needed to be slutty enough to capture a man’s heart. Men like women this way and if you think I’m not slutty enough, I’ll try better.” “…” I had no idea what to say to this. Was Yvette that determined to be my mistress? Why would she ask for Macy’s advice for this? I gave a long sigh and said with exasperation, “You shouldn’t be thinking such nonsense. You look fine the way you were.” “No, I didn’t. Macy said a mistress should look the part of one, and I was far from it,” Yvette mumbled. I had no idea how to convince her further. It felt like she had fallen into some mental black hole, or rather, Macy had brainwashed her. I knew it would take more than a couple of days to convince her otherwise. So, I got up and prepared to leave. Yvette looked astonished when she saw me about to leave. “Aren’t you staying the night with me?” “Nope. I still have something to do at home.” I wondered what Yvette was thinking. Her face turned furiously red again after hearing my words. She stammered for quite a while before saying, “But I’ve prepared the bath. Don’t you want me tonight?”
