~That which does not kill us makes us stronger~
- Friedrich Nietzsche
The refreshing smell of sea salt permeated the atmosphere along with the sound of wave after wave crashing into the shore.
The bright rays of the sun signified it was just a little past the c***k of dawn, and the reflection of the sun rays cast on the sea was a view worthy of poetic exaltation.
The sea itself was like a rippling blanket of brochure blue, the horizon far beyond was edged with a silver tint and a strange specie of bird was flying towards that point far beyond, right where the sun and sea waters met.
With another crash of the waves, a body was washed ashore. The silhouette seemed to be that of a female but at the same time, one could not really tell as the body's face was buried in the sands of the shore, while the rest of it's body was submerged in the sea.
Each crash of the waves led the sea waters to completely submerge the body, covering it from view, only for the waters to once again retreat back to it's banks, once again leaving the body visible, and so it went, back and forth and back and forth again, till finally a group of about five males dressed completely in white robes spotted it.
"Senior brother! Look over there! There's a body!" One of the younger members of the group who looked to still be in his teenage years yelled.
The older member of the group who had been called upon turned his gaze to follow the younger member's urging hands that pointed out at the body at shore.
The older member squinted when he could see nothing but the sea waters brought to the shores by the waves, and just as he was about opening his mouth to reprimand the younger member of the group for raising a false alarm, the waves receded and far in the distance his eyes picked out the distinct view of what looked to be silver hair splayed over the sandy shores.
"There really is a person! Quick! Go over to take a look!" The older member of the group ordered the rest, already hurrying over to the direction he had sighted the body.
On arrival at the point, the group of five were stunned to see that the silhouette was a female, with long silver hair that glowed like the moon splayed all over the sandy shores. The female's face was buried into the sand, however the soft, tender and tantalizing curves that were visible even beneath the dirty white robes that covered the body was unmistakably feminine.
Just as the group of five were yet to shake off their shock, the younger member who had first sighted her exclaimed in shock as his eyes caught movement.
"Eeeep! Senior brother! She's moving!" The younger member exclaimed in alarm and all eyes in the group turned to the female.

Niyonika released a quiet groan of pain at the throbbing ache in her head. After 999 times of experiencing this, Niyonika had thought she would be used to it by now, however each time she time jumped, the intense head ache that greeted her the very moment she awakened had always been extremely unpleasant.
"What part of the Kran empire was I transported to?" Niyonika wondered, tuning her senses to pick up signs of the environment she was even as she struggled to force open her heavy eye lids, Niyonika frowned slightly as she felt the caress of water washing over her entire form.
"A sea shore again?" Niyonika pondered in disdain even as the smell of sea salt invaded her senses, the taste of sea salt on her tongue was equally unmistakable and that grainy feeling beneath her face was probably beach sand...
"Definitely a sea shore." Niyonika concluded, swallowing down her sigh of resignation.
"Please not this again!" Niyonika lamented within her heart. Although all of Niyonika's 999 time jumps had been successful, they had not completely gone by without hitch.
The last experience Niyonika had with a sea and a sea shore was on one unfortunate time jump where she had been transmigrated into the body of a female pirate, just when the pirate was forced to walk the plank.
Exactly at the moment the pirate leaped off the gangplank, Niyonika had been transmigrated into the body because somehow, the cowardly female had passed away from a heart attack even before reaching the churning ocean beneath.
It had been over 200 time jumps since then, however that was one experience Niyonika could never forget. Waking up to find yourself tumbling down into a troubled ocean beneath.
Niyonika had truly believed she would not survive that time jump, but by the Creator's will she had. Waking up on a sea shore much like this one after loosing concsiousness within the ocean where she had fought furiously against the currents for over an hour before finally giving up.
Ever since, the idea of an ocean or even merely visiting a beach had become an unsettling thought to Niyonika, the near death experience had made Niyonika extremely wary of the sea. It was a force of nature that Niyonika with all her wit and expertise still stood no chance against.
That was but one of the hundreds of life threatening time jumps where Niyonika had found herself quite nearly greeting the creator, the life of a time traveler was truly a risky one, it was not one for the faint of heart.
Hence Niyonika had quickly learned that in order to survive, one had to posses a will as hard as steel and a heart even harder.
'Time to face the world I guess, system... you've been weirdly quiet and it's extremely suspicious , I swear to the creator if I open my eyes and find myself in some crazy precarious situation, I will rain a trailer load of curses on you.' Niyonika threatened her system within herself.
Although the human body could not handle the strain of time jumps and hence would fall into unconsciousness till one was properly assimilated into the body one would possess, systems were different.
They were completely active at all times except when they were recalled to the I.T.H.A's mainframe to give a report before returning to their hosts in the timelines their hosts were.
Hence the system always knew before hand the kind of situation their host would awaken to since they were active even when their hosts were unconscious to cope with the strain of time jumping.
The system had the responsibility to protect their host till their host awakened which Niyonika's system always did, however Niyonika had heard of other time traveller's system's assisting them to avert life threatening situations at anytime in a time line, but Niyonika's system hardly ever made things easy for Niyonika, he would only step in when there was no other option and Niyonika was sure to die if he did nothing.
His reason was always that Niyonika was capable of overcoming the situation herself, in Niyonika's opinion, that was complete bullshit.
Systems had numerous resources available to them, Niyonika's system had even detonated a bomb once, at that time Niyonika had been faced off against an entire army, although the bomb had killed Niyonika aswell, or rather the body she had been occupying at the time, but since Niyonika had completed her mission already, she awoke back at the I.T.H.A.
Niyonika had not even realized her system had such a powerful ammunition at hand, thinking back to all the times that bomb could have saved her a lot of stress, Niyonika could not help but curse her system to the next century.
It was also why she called him a dipshit system, he always let her suffer and suffer before finally offering help and even then he did it reluctantly.
Although Niyonika did not completely dislike her system's actions, it was thanks to his actions that Niyonika was currently this strong and could face anything all on her own.
'Probably standing back to let me face this alone again.' Niyonika grumbled within her heart when her system did not respond.
'Hey, dipshit!' Niyonika tried again, frowning when she once again received no response.
Although she knew her system was most likely avoiding having to offer her any help, she still felt it weird that he did not respond to her, usually he would be gloating about how much she needed him even in a trivial situation.
He would gloat so much, Niyonika would get mad and handle the situation herself, although Niyonika knew that had been his intention right from the start, she always fell for it.
This current action of keeping completely silent and not responding to Niyonika was unlike him.
'Ignoring me won't make you any less of a dipshit, you know.' Niyonika informed, before releasing an annoyed huff.
'Fine, ignore me...see how I deal with you later.' Niyonika promised, before moving her attention back to the situation at hand. It was time to wake up.
Niyonika forced open her heavy lids, groaning at the brightness of the light that invaded her eyes. Niyonika squinted, letting her eyes adjust to the brightness and just when her vision cleared, five shocked faces appeared in her view.
One of them opened their mouth and Niyonika winced apprehensively.
"Oh... God." Niyonika muttered to herself, knowing he was going to scream.
