Chapter Twenty One: Pain and Comfort From the direction she came, she could only see a leg, but soon the whole body was in view; it was Cruz. He seemed to be asleep as his eyes were shut. She felt relieved in an instant seeing him lying there unhurt. But then, her head still had many questions. As she watched his chest rise and fall softly, her heart pounded. Tingling sensations played in her belly. Her lips spread in a smile as her eyes glistered at the sight of the man who wouldn't leave her thoughts. The coffee stain from the previous night had dried on his shirt and was looking like the painting of the storm she knew was brewing for her because of him. She moved closer and squatted beside him. She wished she could take off the shirt and clean it up for him before he would awake. M
