Chapter Forty-nine: A Sad Goodbye.
Lima stood to her feet and walked tiredly towards him.
She stopped just some inches in front of him and lifted her gaze to stare into his eyes.
Suddenly she fell into his arms.
Cruz quickly wrapped his arms around her and held her tightly.
As he was beginning to feel her heartbeat, she abruptly withdrew from his grip.
Cruz was momentarily startled. He scanned her face as he observed her.
Lima dropped her gaze downwards and sighed.
Then she slowly reached for her jean pocket and retrieved the credit card Cruz had given her earlier that day. She extended it towards him.
"I I, I don't think I want you around me anymore... The lo..love I have for you has always seemed impossible... and now it is costing me the...the only family I have" Lima stammere
