He prompted the BlueShield Plus manager—Webber, to encourage Maria to move to the company's apartment right away by giving her a relocation leave.
It was Friday and he didn't want them to delay their movement to the following day. Every moment they lingered at Dochester presented a viable risk for mother and daughter.
Since it wasn't time to reveal his true identity to them, he had to act through the manager who approached Maria and told her there was a relocation window given to newly recruited staff during their normal working hours where they could be given leave of absence to switch apartments.
Maria was delighted to use the window.
She reasoned it would be nice if she used the following day, which was her work-free day to settle in.
