Bella woke up slowly, with a dull ringing in her ear and her throat feeling very dry. When she tried to move, a dull aching shot all over her body and she gritted her teeth as she laid back down.
She was in a strange room, and nothing looked familiar to her. The curtains were drawn shut, but light still streamed in from the sides. The cold air caused her to shiver slightly, but then she noticed that a white blanket had been drawn up to her waist. Beside her, a covered glass of water sat on the bedside, and she immediately reached for it, wincing as a painful throbbing exploded up her side.
The water invigorated her, and she was able to take a deep breath and relax. With the water in her system now, she was able to observe her surroundings some more.
