Bella woke up to the sound of someone humming beside her. She opened her eyes slowly, and saw that it was Ava lying beside her, scrolling through her phone with a distant look in her eyes. She turned however, and when she saw the look on Bella’s face, she forced a smile to her face.
“Oh good, you’re awake,” she said, setting down her phone. “I was going to wake you up if you kept sleeping for another hour longer.”
She sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes to try and get the sleep off. For some reason, her neck felt really tight, and she was painfully aware of how dry her throat was.
“How long was I out?” she asked.
“Actually you slept the entirety of yesterday, and most of today,” Ava said. “It’s almost three in the afternoon. I was worried that you might be getting hungry.”
