The sun was beginning to set as Kan Bar drove in silence. His focus was entirely on the road while Chit Tho Tho, sitting beside him, gazed out the window, quietly admiring the city’s fading glow. Though she had been commuting with Kan Bar daily, no one in the office had noticed. That made her feel oddly relieved. If anyone had found out, working would have been a lot more difficult for her.
Kan Bar broke the silence.
“Can I call you Chit Tho?”
Tho Tho turned, a little startled.
“Sorry?” she said, unsure if she heard him correctly.
Kan Bar smiled faintly.
“Chit Tho... It sounds more beautiful than Tho Tho, don’t you think?”
“Um... y-yes, Boss,” she stammered, her cheeks heating up.
Kan Bar continued teasing, “And how would Chit Tho call me?”
Tho Tho fell silent, a little flustered by his sudden shift in tone.
“Will you call me Ko Ko like you did when you were little?” he added gently.
Again, she only managed to respond with a shy, “Yes…”
He looked ahead and said calmly, “As my wife, can you call me Ko Ko?”
Tho Tho blinked. What’s going on with Boss today? she wondered.
Then Kan Bar reached over and softly took her hand resting on the lover's seat between them.
“Let’s work hard together... you and me.”
“Tomorrow, you’ll be joining me at the golf club,” he added.
“Yes,” she replied softly.
He chuckled, “Usually you say ‘Yes, Boss.’”
She hesitated, then smiled awkwardly and replied,
“Yes... Ko Ko.”
That made him smile.

At the Golf Club ⛳
Kan Bar was seated in a luxurious restaurant inside the golf club with high-level business contacts—D Bank’s chairman and his wife, as well as Luxe Hotel’s owner and his wife. Over coffee, they engaged in casual business talk.
D Bank's chairman joked,
“Kan Bar, you’re alone again today? I heard you’ve already tied the knot. What’s the matter—still hiding your wife from the world?”
Luxe Hotel’s wife chimed in, “So it wasn’t you who brought your wife here today?”
Meetings like these weren’t just social. They were business strategies disguised as golf outings—economic alignment among the elite.
Luxe Hotel’s chairman suddenly pointed toward the entrance.
“Well, well... There she is! A young, charming lady heading this way—definitely not an ordinary one. With your age, Kan Bar, a girl like that suits you perfectly!” he laughed.
Kan Bar turned to look. Tho Tho had just arrived and was now smiling politely as she walked toward them. She slipped into the seat beside him calmly. The group went silent in surprise.
D Bank’s wife nudged, “Kan Bar, won’t you introduce her properly?”
He nodded with confidence.
“Everyone, I’d like to formally introduce my wife. This is Chit Tho Tho. Please feel free to treat her as warmly as you would me.”
He proceeded to introduce her to each guest personally.
Luxe Hotel’s chairman raised his brows.
“Wow, Kan Bar really knows how to pick them—young and stunning!”
D Bank’s chairman agreed, “She looks quite young. Is she even of age yet?”
His wife gave him a light elbow.
Kan Bar calmly explained,
“She’s ten years younger than me. Grew up under my mother’s care. She’s currently interning at our company and already graduated with an MHM.”
D Bank’s wife nodded approvingly.
“She’s impressive. And now that she’s officially part of our circle, we’ll add her to our club and group chats. There are gatherings, shopping trips—we’ll take care of her.”
Luxe Hotel’s wife added with a grin,
“That’s right. We’ll teach you everything—how to manage a household, how to deal with powerful husbands, and all the other secrets.”
Tho Tho gave them a gentle smile.
“Yes, please take care of me.”
Truthfully, though Tho Tho was often a confident leader among her own circle, she felt a bit out of place here, surrounded by wealthy, experienced women.
Kan Bar stood and said,
“Alright, let’s talk business over a few swings. Shall we go?”
He held Tho Tho’s hand and led the way out.

As they walked hand-in-hand, Tho Tho looked at their entwined fingers and smiled softly. It felt like a flower bloomed quietly in her heart.
Kan Bar turned to her and asked,
“Are you okay, Chit Tho? Not too tired?”
She replied, “I’m happy. You’re my husband, so of course I’ll support you.”
Kan Bar felt a warm, unnamed happiness rise inside him. She called me her husband… he thought. He gripped her hand just a little tighter.

At the golf course, the men and women split into groups. The men began playing while the ladies gathered for their own chat.
Yet Kan Bar soon drifted back to where Tho Tho stood, gently showing her how to hold the club and guiding her swing.
What they didn’t realize... was that someone had been watching everything.
