Giving ThanksEveryone was in the family room the second the group returned. Jonah could tell, just by the feel of the room, the wait had not been a patient one.
Jonathan gave Daniel a quick look, and then stood in front of the fireplace, fully prepared to address the more than curious crowd.
“I know you all have many questions,” he began, “but I implore you to let me explain without interruptions—”
“Why the hell is Laban Cooper here?” demanded Trip. “Why did you spring him from The Plane with No Name?”
“Did you not just hear the part about no interruptions?” demanded Felix, but Jonathan threw him a quelling glance, then turned his attention back to Trip.
“If you can find it in yourself not to speak over me, Titus,” he said, irritation in his voice, “then I will gladly tell you.”
