Love On Taft

CHAPTER 1

"We will visit you there honey, once a month." Dad told me.

I'm at the airport right now dahil flight ko na papuntang Philippines.

La Salle scouted me last year, they gave some good offer to me, I also heard na maganda ang training system nila dun so after a month I decided to commit at La Salle and play for them for the upcoming UAAP.

"Okay Dad, I need to go," Nag beso na ako kila Mom and Dad and start to walk away from them, I waved my hand for the last time and fly a kiss to them.

Dad and Mom bought me a condo near at La Salle, Green Residence ata? Not sure, and of course a car there in Philippines.

I went to my seat. I put my headset to my ears and open a gum to chew it. I took some sleep while listening to the music.

When the airplane landed on NAIA, I get my luggage and start walking going to the exit.

I heard someone called me.

"Ali! Dito!" I look around to find who's calling me.

I immediately smiled when I saw Mer and some Lady Spikers.

"Welcome to The Philippines Alisa!"

Isa mga naka sulat sa placards nila. It's such a warm welcome for me.

I waved to them and gave a big smile to show how happy I am.

Last December I went here in the Philippines along with Mom and Dad to meet the DLSU Lady Spiker's Coach and other coaching staff to have an official statement for my commitment for them.

After that, we look for some condos where I can live while I'm here in Philippines. I already know some Lady Spikers because I attend their training for one week but Meryana is more close to me.

"Welcome to Lady Spikers Ali," Ate Michaela said softly.

"Thanks Ate Michaela," I said back.

"Ate Mich nalang, para medyo attitude pakinggan," then she gestured her fingers to show how little amount it is. She chuckled.

"Ok po ate Mich," then I simply giggled.

Ate Mich and Mer came with me to go at my condominium at Green Residence while my other teammates went back to La Salle.

My condo is near at La Salle so that it won't be a hassle for me to go back and forth.

We enter the elevator and clicked the 11th Floor. The elevator was about to close when someone's hand blocked it, it opened again.

"Oh? Hi!" She smiled at ate Mich when she entered the elevator.

Ate Mich gave her a smile also.

"New Recruit?" She asked Ate Mich, she's referring to me.

She wears a Green Jacket with the logo of DLSU.

A La Sallian.

"Yes, from Canada," Ate Mich responded.

"So...Import? Ganon?" She asked again.

"Nope, Canadian-Filipina," I answered this time.

"Ah...By the way I'm Ellisa Shyra San Jose, just call me Ely." then she winked at me.

Bumukas na ang elevator at lumabas na kami.

"See you at La Salle girls!" She waved a little then the elevator closed again.

Oh! I forgot to introduce my name to her, maybe next time nalang. I can see her pa naman at La Salle.

"Is she nice?" I asked.

Binatukan ako ni Mer, masakit rin yun kaya napaka kamot ako.

"Gaga, oo naman, ang bait niya at ang saya kasama." she told me.

"Oh? So you're hanging out with her?" I opened the door of my unit then we entered.

"Oo, sabay kami minsan pumupunta sa Taft Spot at Archer's Nook." I nodded with her answers even though I don't know what is Taft Spot and Archer's Nook.

It was all done ng pumasok kami, may TV, may study table, may shelter for books since I love reading, may balcony. The unit is quite big huh.

We settle everything here before they leave.

"Thank you so much," I thanked them for their help.

"Naku! Wala yon, ano ka ba?" at tinapik ni Mer ang braso ko ng mahina.

They went to the elevator then waved at me, I also waved back then gave a small smile. I went back to my room when they leaved already.

"No parents around, no worries." I said to my self.

I cooked for my self to eat dinner and after that, I went to bathroom to wash my self. I played my phone before getting to sleep.

The sunlight wakes me up. I stretched my self for a moment before going off the bed.

I took a shower first before eating my breakfast. I'm going to DLSU today.

"You're tall," The lady said when I was about to close my door.

"Thanks," I gave a small smile to her. She looks boyish because she wears basketball attire. There's a logo of La Salle on her jersey.

Another Archer.

She nod at me then she enters the room besides mine. I'm actually tall, having 5 foot and 11 inches height, almost a six footer lady.

'Myx'

I read on her door. I don't know if that's a name or what.

"Good Afternoon Coach," I greeted immediately as I entered the gym where my teammates are having practice.

Coach Ramil clapped his hands to get the attention of my teammates, they immediately came to our side.

Some of them waved and smiled at me, and so I am. My eyes widened when I saw some F2 Logistics Player specially KKD. I composed my self para hindi halatang na starstrucked ako then I gave my attention again to Coach.

She introduce me to all of my teammates and also to F2 players.

Sinamahan ako ni Mer sa locker para ilagay ang ang mga gamit ko. I laced my asics shoes na color sky blue.

"Ateneo ka sis?" She asked sarcastically.

"Huh?" I didn't get her. After a second na realize ko na. Because of my shoes, it's blue.

I rolled my eyes and smiled. Bumalik na kami sa court to join the training.

At first we perform drills na binigay nila coach and after that nag ball handling na kami.

All day long, we just train. And after making and performing it all, nag decide si coach na mag laro kami.

We divided into 8 groups since the Team B is here. I was so happy dahil teammate ko ang dalawang Kim. Kim Fajardo and Kim Kianna Dy. Great setter plus great opposite spiker, kailangan ko atang magpakitang gilas.

After the game ay pinuri ako nila ate.

"Nice game Ali," ate KKD tapped my shoulder.

Parang gusto ko tuloy tumili co'z my idol noticed me. You can get me now Lord, joke!

I went to our locker to get my extra clothes to change. It's a quick change.

 "Alisa Jimenez," I said to the employee. I'm gonna go get my car first tonight before going back to my unit.

I drove my new mirage back to my unit. I parked it at the Green Residence carpark then I went to my room.

I smiled at Ely when I saw her, she walks towards me.

"Hi Fil-Can," she greeted me. "I don't know your name e." Dagdag niya.

"Hi Ely," I greeted her back before introducing my self.

"I'm Alisa Jimenez, just call me Ali." I said while entering the elev. I clicked to 11th floor while Ely clicked the 12th floor.

"Oh! Ali and Ely? It's nice, we can be good friends." She said happily then put her hands on her cheeks like a child. Mer's right, Ely is fun.

"If that's what you want," I stated.

"Of course! I will be great if I'll have a friend named Ali," then she winked at me.

I smiled when she said she will be great to be friends with me.

"Are you an athlete also?" I asked then the elev open when someone entered from 5th floor.

She shook her head. "I'm a courtside reporter, last UAAP I'm DLSU's courtside reporter." I nodded.

"I applied kanina, nagbabaksakaling maging courtside reporter ulit," then she giggled.

"I'll pray for it, bye." I stepped out from the elevator when it opened at 11th floor.

"Bye, see you soonest Ali." she said then the elevator started to close again.

Coach Ramil is really existing, he's the headcoach of DLSU Lady Spikers and F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.

Kim Fajardo and Kim Kianna Dy (KKD) is also real. They are former Lady Spikers.
