I walked into the grocery store still groggy from last nights activities, the whole f*****g situation was tiring, I went straight to get bleach from the cleaning section, normally I wouldn’t buy from here but the blood was starting to stink up the place and Liam ruined my order.

I picked up the bleach from the aisle, I considered buying other cleaning items since I did my cleaning myself. Then I spotted her, looking at each aisle like she had never been here before, I could tell this could be her first time shopping , her black hair cascaded over her face as she bent to pick something, she turned to my direction but I moved behind the shelves so she didn’t see me. I found myself watching her and then I saw a guy watch her too, blonde looked rich. Seemed like I wasn’t the only one interested.

I didn’t get a good look of her face then but she went to grab lemons I saw her face, she was beautiful, damn. f*****g perfect she looked like a model, her black hair was short and wavy, her lips small and pink and her beautiful black eyes ever so captivating. I found myself staring at her face a bit longer than I should have, studying her, she had a sharp jawline and a perfect nose, her long lashes curled up and that skin looked like she took care of it every f*****g day of her life. f**k what was and angel doing in this neighborhood. I had never studied a woman like that, she looked so pretty yet so dark, she reminded me of me. She looked like mine. I want her. I want to break her, to mold her into mine, I wanted to touch and worship every inch of that body, f**k I wanted her to want me, to love me, so bad she couldn’t think. And I would make her.

She could feel my stare cause she turned around, but didn’t see me but I saw her, and I also saw the bastard pretending to shop just so he would talk to her. Once she left he approached her outside, I stood at a distance unnoticed while I watched her turn him down ever so beautifully, her British accent was like honey, I wanted to hear it moan my name.

She left and I followed her, mostly because I could see the guy she rejected also following her, and once she got to her apartment he left, already knowing her location I guess, he was lucky he left soon, I had planned to gag him and take him to my house and teach him a lesson. I stood outside her house, it was just as I knew it would be, dark and modern I smiled to myself knowing I’d be back.

I went back to the warehouse and asked Liam to find everything he could possibly find about her, Waverly Kendal, a model well one with a lot of flaws, was admitted to a mental hospital, reason? She tried to kill her exes new fiance, it just kept getting better, Beautiful and crazy, I would keep her.

I couldn’t stop myself from going into her house, as bad as it was , watching her as she slept, she kept opening the window to check if I would close it and I did, I closed it every time.

it seemed she knew I was coming in so she set camera, she kept thinking it was Asher, which was why I didn’t kill the stupid brat I let him take all the credit for my work. She set up an alarm one which I hacked just like I did to all the cameras. I found out her favorite chocolate and bought it for her every time I came.

I knew she was scared, although she didn’t show it, she was a pro at masking her emotions and it seemed like she wanted to meet me.

There I stood in the shadows watching the police arrest Asher, it was only a matter of time before she realized it wasn’t him giving her chocolates, I smirked at the thought.

I went to my warehouse only to meet a black car parked outside.

“Good evening Blackwood” a man stepped out of the car and greeted me.

“What’s this about?” I asked.

“Mr. X said to come pick you up since you weren’t answering any of his calls”

I looked at Liam who stood in front of the door.

“It seems urgent” he said with a shrug.

I had been ignoring Runes calls, I didn’t have the time to play spy for him anymore and frankly I had better things to do, like scare the s**t out of Kendal. But I wasn’t ready to put up with these men this evening or I’d be dragging more dead bodies than in intended so I got in the car and let them drive me to Runes shitty apartment that was really and undercover spy house, one of many he owned around the country.

I stepped into the place and made my way to his office ignoring every greeting I got from the other agents there, I wasn’t here to get familiar with anyone.

“ah there he is!” Rune chimed as I entered his office and took a sit

“What is this about?”

“that’s no way to greet an old friend” he said frowning at me

“I’m not here for that Rune just get over with it”

X Factor was a company built for the sole purposes of saving humans from being used and drugs from being abused, it was created under the disguise of an energy drink company when the real work was to exterminated all human and drug traffickers .

When Rune started the X Factor I wasn't even born, you could say I was one of his missions, saved from the hands of child slavers and told him I wanted to be like him. It was the fact that they were saving people and putting an end to human and drug trafficking that caught me, I wanted to do that, I never wanted another child to go through what I went through as a kid, passed around like a ball, beaten to a pulp, used, but at least I wasn’t molested, the thought of some children out there, being r***d and used as entertainment killed me from the inside, its why I stayed with him, helped him. But when I found out X factor got its funding from a man who claims he is no longer a trafficker I was disgusted. Rune had tried to convince me to stay saying if he slips up at all he would kill him, but I didn’t believe him, so I ignored every call and went on saving lives on my own, I didn’t need any help considering I was their top hacker, fighter and agent.

Rune was old, 53 white hairs in curls and stumble beard, he looked fine for his age but I doubted his brain was still intact.

“Listen here boy, it’s a job that only you can do” he said closing the blinds of the office and turning his laptop to me to show me a picture, a man looks in his mid thirties, brown hair, deer eyes, single dimple at the side of his cheek.

“Who?”

“Jack Christian, he is running for senate, sources tell me he is part of an organization kidnapping children and is about to be appointed leader of that organization as soon as he becomes senate, because he would be closer to the higher ups having more access to certain regions, your job is to kill him”

I nod looking at the photo already bored, since I could remember I was killing, my first kill was unsettling, stabbed the man who adopted me, my second was more of a forced one, I could remember it, Rune was bleeding half of our men dead the other half stuck outside the door because the iron door was closed and not opening from the outside, the man was standing right in front of me, gun pointed to Rune he thought I was dead. Rune didn’t give me away, but I could see in his eyes the silent begging for me to pick up the gun next to me and shoot him, so I did. And I was traumatized by that demon for weeks.

“we have intel saying he is throwing a party, a kind of fund raiser to help orphaned children, the same ones he wants to sell”

I was getting disgusted

“we need you to 'accidentally' bump into him at this club” Rune said giving me the club card

“Once you’re in you try to get an invitation to the party, because no one else gives invites except him”

“why not just kill him there?”

“because right after the fund raiser there is an auction going on, some members of his cult they are called the ‘Cubs’ some of them are going to be there and so will the kids. They are going to sell children right after the auction, I need you to go in and kill all of them once you are done my team would be right outside and raid the place to save the children”

“if I fail?” I asked with a brow raised

“You never fail – although this is a tough one you can do it” he said and I smirked cocky bastard.

“my prices tripled ” I said standing up

“well it’s a small price I have to pay for the safety of those children” he said like I don’t care about their safety

“you go to the bar Tomorrow being Sunday and the party holds on Wednesday, you should get the invite before then”

“Got it” I said walking out the door

“Be careful” he called out making me pause, I sight and left the place and headed back to the warehouse.

“How did it go?” Liam asked turning to face me from the massive computers in his front. He was one of the hackers I had trained, he was really good. He followed me when I left X Factor and had stuck with me since, he was the only person I’d call friend.

“It went cute” I said

“Rune just sent in information for the job” Liam added “I will look deeper into Jack”

“cool” I said barely paying attention “Liam that chocolate I’ve been ordering, get me a bouquet of it” I told him and went upstairs

“oh..” was all he said probably wondering why I’ve been buying it, but I guess he would get the idea.

I woke up the next morning with a headache I had forcefully downed sleeping pills to bed to stop myself from thinking to hard last night after what happened, I had to sleep at Lily’s home because the police advised it and let’s be honest there was no freaking way I was sleeping in a house where someone was breaking into and I knew nothing of who the person might be, I stared at the unfamiliar surroundings and sat up groaning from my headache. I had slept on a sleeping bag Lily set for me on the floor right next to her bed. I needed water, I stood up and she woke

“Good morning” she said yawning

“morning” I said leaving the room, I walked straight to the kitchen , I took a glass of water and drank, that’s when I saw it right on her table , f**k.

I muttered and choked out my water, Lily came in “what?” ah said and then saw the chocolate on the dining table. She looked just as alarmed as I was.

“Kendal is that?” She said quietly

“yea” I replied dropping the water and picking up the chocolate

“what kind of sick person is this how dare he sneak into my house oh my God, Kendal my house was raided, we need to call the cops”

“no Lily its okay, I don’t want you involved so I’ll just leave”

“But Kendal”

“what good will it make? The cops will say we should leave the neighborhood and He’ll just follow, I mean for someone who knows how to expertly hack all my cameras and my security alarm he sure as well would be able to find me, plus where would I go” I said throwing it into the trash

“well they could protect us, they could stay right out your house watching till he comes”

“this isn’t some movie” I said rolling my eyes

“but It could work Kendal listen to me!” Lily yelled catching me off guard

I bit down my bottom lip “fine” I said, honestly I didn’t know what to do

“I didn’t mean to yell” lily said already regretting.

“Its okay, you’re just alarmed” I said running my hands through my hair, this was the first time in a long time I was actually feeling frightened.

“Stay for breakfast fast please” Lily said

“Sure”
