Chapter Fifteen The Fourth Law Just a matter of time before I hit the streets. The cell was more like a kennel. Not even tall enough to fully stand, and just barely long enough to completely stretch out. Not that I tried to do either. Most of the time I just lay curled up, like a baby in the womb. Food was brought, a tray scraped across the floor through a little sliding panel. My meal was thin soup with bread, and for later a little pot in which to piss. I heard other slaves as they greedily slurped and gulped down their food, but I only picked at mine. Later came the unmistakable pants of a f****d woman in the next cell and her passionate cries echoed through the thin walls.
