Noble’s House
Nan’s strange behavior left me confused, and scared. What did Thomas do to make her act like that? And would I, eventually, reach some kind of breaking point too? A little order to turn on a computer or pour some water and would I go off like Nan? She had had it all; she had convinced Thomas that her attitude was improved; that she would obey orders, and follow the three laws. She had ducked the fate of exile to another “house” that scared the s**t out of her. Thomas was so impressed he had even wanted to make her his personal slave. Then Nan had thrown it all away. The only clue I had were her last words, about keeping Thomas focused (focused on what?) and about Gisele. Aside from my personal blackmail, what did Gisele have to do with anything?
