Ray walked behind them. They ended up on a road. There was a red truck with a camper in the back. "You and Jordan go in the camper. Ray and I will be in the truck," Andre said. "Why cant he be in the camper with us," Camilla asked. "I don't trust him just yet. Now quite lollie gagging and get the show on the road," he said. Camilla and Jordan went in the camper. Ray got into the passengers seat of the truck. He put his back pack in the back seats after pulling out the camera. Andre got into the drivers seat. He took his keys and inserted them into the key hole. He turned them to start the engine. Ray was looking through more pictures. Most of them was pictures of animals or the people he saw in the other photos. Andre looked at him as he drove. "What are you looking at?", He asked. Ray showed him the pictures, "Is that your family or something?", He asked. Ray shrugged. "You mean you don't who they are but you have their camera," Andre asked. Ray looked down. He tried to explain that he found it in the house he woke up in. "Why don't you talk? Are you hiding something?", Andre asked. Ray shook his head no, "Then why don't you talk?", He asked. Ray shrugged. He looked out the window passing the country part of Michigan. That weird flash happened again. He was seeing through the boy's eyes again. He saw the country side zoom past him in a red car. Singing was heard. The boy turned to the man that was holding the fish in one of the photos he was singing as well. He snapped back. He looked at Andre, who was still driving. Ray looked back out the window. Cows were grazing the grass. He saw a farm house, infested with those dead things. He rubbed the side of his neck where the bite was. Andre noticed but decided to stay quite. He stopped the truck. Ray was about to fall asleep when he felt the truck jolt to a stop. "Out of goddamn gas," Andre growled. He looked at Ray. Ray looked at him as well, "Hey, what's going on?", Camilla asked. "We're out of gas," Andre called. "There's a gas station right over there," she said, pointing to a Citgo. Andre and Ray looked over to the gas station. Cars were piled up. "Ray, you go get more gas," Andre said. Ray pointed to himself as if saying "me?". "Yes, you. Now get you ass out and get the jerrican out of the trunk bed," Andre said. "Well, why can't you do it?", Jordan asked. "I don't trust him just yet. I don't need two deaths on my hands," Andre said referring to Ray. He looked at him pulling the jerrican out of the truck bed. He pulled it out. He had his knife in his pocket. "Do you need a gun or any protection?", Camilla asked. He pulled out his knife to tell her "no, I'm good" and he put it back in his pocket. He walked over to the gas station. Camilla turned to Andre. "He has not done anything harming to us," Camilla told her stubborn husband. "Look at what's going on in the world right now. Look at it! You can't trust no one," he said. "You can trust Ray. I trust him," Jordan said. "Jordan, sweetie, go back in the camper. Your dad and I are having an adult conversation," Camilla said. Jordan went back inside the camper. She turned back to Andre. "Quite being like that. He's just a boy. He won't cause any harm to us," Camilla said in a near whisper. "Well, for me to stop being suspicious, he needs to prove himself to me," Andre said. "How will he prove himself to you?", Camilla asked. "He could save you or Jordan from being attacked by anything," Andre said. Camilla turned to the gas station. Ray was opening up car hoods to find gas. He found some and filled up the jerrican. He looked at the store and wondered what was inside. He filled the jerrican up and went to the store. Ray pushed open the front door and walked in. He put the jerrican by the front doors. He looked around. Ray walked up and down the aisles. He pulled out four water bottles. He went behind the counter and pit them in a bag. He heard a growling sound in the back room. He put the bag of water by the full jerrican. He walked to the door entering the back room. He pushed the door open. There was one of those infected people. Ray started to back away. The infected person started walking towards him. Ray freaked out. Then that person got too close to comfort. Ray started stabbing him everywhere but the head. When he finally did, the person finally stopped. Ray pulled the blade out of the mans head. He fell limp in front of him. Ray had enough of the gas station so quickly cleaned off his knife and pit it back in his pocket. He grabbed the jerrican and the bag of water bottles and got out of there. He returned to the truck. He pour the gas into the gas tank. He put the jerrican in the bed of the truck. Camilla and Andre were still talking. He tapped Camilla's shoulder. She looked at him "Yes?", She asked. Ray gave her two water bottles, " Oh, thank you Ray," she said. Ray got back into the truck. He gave Andre a water bottle. The last one was for him. Andre looked at the water bottle, then at him. "Thank you," he said, quietly. Ray nodded his head and looked out the window. Andre started the truck and started to drive. "Maybe he's not that bad of a kid," he thought as he drove down the empty road.
