Reese Lanterman
Boen Opeor is sitting in front of the long cabinets of Grey's piantings; the paintings, sit against the light of the window viewing the garden. Boen's curly hair makes her look like royalty and her exposed legs, one made of metal, and her fancy cane makes it hard to believe that she's otherwise. Only a crown designed by the moon is missing from the spectacle. Boen's expression is that of an extremely worried wife while her husband is off at sea. The sight moved Reese as if she was viewing a painting being illustrated live. She's always been attracted to the girl in front of her, but never in a romantic manner. She's very been the one to be romantic, she's written books about the topic of romance but she never felt the urge to be involved in it. She utters everyday words at Boen, to surprise her that she's come home. But Boen does not react in an 'everyday' fashion, she grabs Reese's hands and clasps them together, asking with big worried desperate eyes, "Reese!! I have so much to ask you!!"
Reese takes a step back, but her tail wags as if she's intrigued. Boen expects her to answer as soon as humanly possible which Reese uses to make the situation seem tense. She breaks her gaze from Boen and smiles. The girl with curly hair catches on and shakes her friend rapidly, "Please! It's really important, no questions are personal I swear! I have things I have to remember or it'll be too late!!" Reese still kept her smirk as Boen shakes her, she of course wouldn't mind the questions, she likes them to be exact but she also enjoys a little torment. She finally decides that she's been trolling for long enough, "Alright, alright, Bobo, just let me grab a plate from the kitchen and change my poncho. This one got really dirty."
"Oh! That reminds me! You guys can add me on your chores list! I can help out now, I want to." Boen says with her whole chest. She's noticed that even though The Train looked well-kept, the laundry would stack up and she can sometimes smell too much dust and a scary amount of cobwebs from the hidden corners of The Train, "I clean my cabin by myself all the time! I'm not bothered by the cobwebs and the occasional dust patch or anything!" Reese acts as if she's surprised. She liked the cobwebs, but only because she's too lazy to dust them away, 'if you can't do anything about the problem then just love the problem.' is her motto for cleaning. "Sure, Bo, I'll add your name on the lists on the way. Wait here for a bit, 'kay? Try to think of chill things 'til I get back."Reese hops to the door and bids Boen a little wave. Boen stood in silence until she couldn't see Reese anymore.
"Think of chill things...huh?" she mutters to herself as she gazes at the floor, and notices her little white shoes. There's a little bit of dust on them from her walk and she wipes them clean without bending her knees. She turns around and decides to sit again, Reese might take a while depending on her mood, but she knows that Reese will answer most of her answers with honesty, there's no one else she feels comfortable asking.
Boen is now perfectly seated, her back is absolutely vertical and her legs are kept together properly. She's been thought to sit as such when she attends important events since the age of six. She hated it at first but now she finds that it's the most comfortable sitting style for her when she's anxious. She's scared that she can't think of chill things so she imagines water, and imagines the sound of a stream flowing down a hill. This reminded her of the compact disk she found and thought that if she were to burn her experiences on that disk right now, it would make for a really interesting movie. Although, the most she's ever done is overthink and panic. "Maybe it won't make a good movie after all..." she monologues.
She thinks about the faes, about how they were in Skia's Journal but she remembers only bits and pieces about them. Grey's paintings stare at her and she stares back, they look as if they are having a psychic communication and she allows herself to relax with the paintings. She closes her eyes and a feeling of a flower blooming inside of her lungs ensued. Breathing in calmness and breathing it out. The continues to do this until a she remembers a familiar situation, of being left alone in a room, with only the air for company, and there are flowers just outside. The realization hit her, "I took the book of appellations from Lissana's house! And the book was probably ripped to shreds! Is that it? Was the journal the important thing? Ooh, how the hell am I going to face Lissana now! Argrhh this sucks, they are all the lost memories so depressing...at least, relaxing worked. I'll have to find a way to apologize later."
"Now I know that we actually have met. And I guess we're close enough for me to enter her home...wait..I hope we didn't do anything lewd when we were there! I think I'd remember if I told Isa that I've finally found someone to be steady with...this half confirms that Sana and I weren't that close yet." Boen hasn't noticed but she's finally remembering things without having to calm herself down. But this caused her to not notice that Reese has been back since she rationalized that her and Sana have met.
She smirks and prepares to pounce at the oblivious, elegantly-sat girl, "What' cha thinking about, Bobo?!!" she roars just enough to startle the poor girl. "Reese?! When did you come back? Why don't you make any sounds?! Please don't tell me you heard what I was saying..."
Reese smiles, she decides she'll admit the truth later. "I don't think I heard anything important for now..." Boen knows she heard the embarrassing thing she said about her and Sana, but she decides to just push through with sheer determination and numbness. "Oh, t-that's great. So great."
"Yeah, hehe. I put your name of the lists so just check them from time to time, sometimes they shift depending on the situation, you might end up cleaning the cobwebs soon." Boen is slightly delighted with the information but just gives Reese an, "Oh, sure." and a nod. Reese passes Boen and sits on the table, covering one of the paintings, the fox and the snow fairy bird. Boen notices that Reese is also wearing a poncho similar to the color of the snow on the painting, a bluish-white, "How come you wear ponchos all the time? Is it just for carrying stuff?" Boen asks without thinking.
"I thought you won't be asking any personal questions, Bobo. Oh, the pain of your lies impale me so~!" Reese replies theatrically, posing like an anemic lady of the house. Boen realizes her mistake and apologizes profusely. "Well, it's fine, everyone likes to ask me that question but you won't get an answer, or maybe you will but I'll never really confirm it. So, what did you want to ask me about? I'll answer to the best of my knowledge." Reese's smile almost represents the end of a long winter, it was warm and honest, at least to Boen it seemed that way. She takes a small gulp.
"What was my relationship with the alpha, Lissana?"
