The Truth Emerges

Reese Lanterman The question has Reese stunned for a moment, it dawned on her that she's been trying not to think of her alpha, but, like a fast rebound, she took the question as a sign that their beloved Lissana would come back. She decides that she will put all of her hopes on her, this girl is will be her reason to smile when their alpha is still missing. The October pack has a peculiar way of dealing with feelings they don't want to surface, this is why they're all so close and with a good understanding of each other's boundaries. Boen's face is all red but is prepared for the worst, what the worst is for her? It's something that she can't justify as the worst scenario for most people. Reese contemplates about telling the truth, she was following them both for a while, she knows what kind of relationship they have basing from how Lissana acts towards her. The wind blows from the window and it is a cool wind, soothing to the skin. Reese decides to tell the truth, "Lissana has a crush on you but I was never sure how you felt about her." Reese shrugs. To this, Boen is obviously slightly disappointed but still kept her perfect posture. She tries to think of or come up with memories that proved otherwise but nothing wants to emerge from the murky memory pools of her mind. "Do you remember how you felt about her?" "Well, remember how I felt about her...I don't really have a clear image of her yet, but I feel like she's big and with big eyes...maybe?" Boen twirls her fingers and puckers her lips slightly. "I'm...scared that I might have bad memories of her, so this is really just uncanny to me. I like I have a crush on the alpha but that's the me without the memories of Lissana." Boen voice resonates around the room, they wait for each other to say something but decided to think about it a bit more. "It's fine." Reese finally decides to say, "Sana wouldn't mind, if you like her now without your memories of her, as long as you're okay with it, she'll be happy; if you reagain your memories about her and you end up not liking her, then she'll be happy that you're safe and that you remember her." "Ah, w-well then, okay! Okay..." Boen eases herself, making her arms arch a bit. "What about you, though, Boen?" Reese asks, swaying slowly from side to side. "What about me what?" "Which would you prefer?" Reese clarifies, now only swaying her tail. "Oh, I'm really hesitant about remembering but I have to, if I can, even if it's bad I have to." she grips at her cane a bit. "Alright then. I can tell you what I know about the both of you but after you entered her shack, I stopped following the both of you as per her request." Reese explains. Boen jolts and also jumps up, "I remember that! I remember her shack but I don't remember why I went there." "Oh, so you actually remember something. That's great! She doesn't really stay there, it's just a checkpoint for her for when she needs to leave something or when it's raining." Boen stares at Reese hoping that the information she'll recieve will spark a memory inside of her. "So um, to start, we've been watching you since you got here, everyone was a bit curious about you but you seemed like a pretty normal human so most of the Weres stopped watching you after a week. Lissana and I were pretty curious about you, but Sana didn't really know that I was following you too. She was too uh, focused on you." Boen doesn't flinch but a blush is starting to form on her face. "Continue." Reese snickers. "Well, I don't really have the time to keep following the both of you so there are gaps. One day I saw you going deeper into the forest oblivious about everything, taking pictures of random moss--" "OH! I remember that, I took a picture of you and...Lissana...and my ring!" Boen bursts, "I remember her! She's, the image of her in my head is beautiful, really big..." "Oh what?! Haahaha so I am helping after all! Remembering her face is great! She always has this stupid smile on her face, can you recall it?" they're now like college friends talking about their childhood crush, "Yes! Aahahahaha, Sana! I remember her. But something tells me our relationship didn't really end well..." "We were kinda expecting this, right? But I know for sure that she never and will never intend to hurt you. The both of you must have had an argument." Reese states. "It's...that's ...um..how do I explain it. My memories are telling  that this Were named Krolo has something to do with it. I remember a few things being with Lissana, we weren't as open as we want to be because we've barely met and she wouldn't tell me about the world. She was smiling and always hiding something... " Boen looks down at her feet again, thinking that maybe that night was punishment for her disrespecting the forest. "Reese, when Lissana comes back, I want to understand her more, and I want to understand the world you guys are living in. I'm not just a regular human anymore, I can see appellations now for some reason and I think it has something to do with this ability of mine. Maybe I wasn't so regular to begin with.." Boen doesn't lift her head from the view of her feet. Reese is suddenly uneasy, as if she open a pandora's box of Boen's forbidden secrets. But the feeling is only secondary to her feelings of interest. She fights the urge to take out her notepad and pen. Reeses stops her introspection and says, "What do you mean by ability? If you name it, Imus or Anda might know what's its origin is and we'll know why you call see appellations now. Of course, I think it's important for you to know about the forest , you're one of us now, somewhat." "Yes. Um, my ability is hard to explain but, it's something similar to teleportation, only I can teleport to just one place. I used to be able to do this but I think I'm out of practice. Do you know anything about that?" "I don't actually. That's curious. Where do you go?" Reese asks with stars in her eyes but accompanied by a serious expression. "An observatory. There's other people there too but I don't know any of them. They're all nice though." "Hah? An obseravtory? But why? And there's other people there but they never told you what's going on?" "They answer in riddles! I think they want me to figure it out mayself, maybe it's just somewhere people like me meet up to be honest. Nothing too deep about it...probably..." Boen finally lifts her head and gives a shy smile to Reese. "Aha, this is too tough for me to answer. But thanks for telling me, we'll have to ask Imus or Anda about this. Maybe it's really the reason why you can see appellations now, there's a high possibility of it." "Yeah! I'm glad you think so too, I was expecting you to laugh but I realized that you guys are used to these kinds of things!" "Oh, nonono, this is the first I've heard about this but Luna works in mysterious ways, you might just have a rare ability. And, I didn't want to tell you this the first time we met but, after you woke up, your appellation shone a lot brighter. It's ineresting but not uncommon." Reese explains, "Listen properly, I'll be giving you a short summary of the appellations, the Weres, faes and curses. Are you ready?" "Yes!" Boen replies with determination.
