A Picnic with the Outsider

1529 Words
Lissana Mons     Today is day three. No Boen or anyone in sight. I checked to see if she left me anything on that weird split tree but I guess not. I'm so bored, maybe a little stroll wouldn't hurt. Hyup!     I better stay near the tree just in case she comes. I wouldn't want to make her wait. I might as swell scout for a bit. I haven't been keeping what with the goings-on since I discovered miss city girl. The missy was wandering the Eastside of the forest like she's immune to danger or something. She even found the old road. Man, it brings me back. Maybe Imus and I could visit sometime... or not. Too many things happened in that old town. Crazy how we're still together after all these years and after Nike…     Anyhow, let's go find some people to bother! Let's see, I bet those girls might be in the spring baths right now. I wonder if they'd mind if I had a chat with them. Pfft, who am I kidding, of course they're gonna want to talk. It's Shaen's group we're talking about! Ah! Something…a deer. "Hey! Were you just at the spring baths? No? Well okay thanks!"     She must be new. It's good she knows not to run away. Damn, the forest gets thicker and thicker everyday. All these new recruits, new outsiders. What's the occasion? A new world order? Aha! KNOCKS ON WOOD.     He~h.I can hear them clacking from here. Okay, Lissana, you're only here to have a little chat with Shaen and her clique. Don't let them seduce you into taking a bath with them. Even if you really want to. You have to be back at the tree in like... Okay fifteen minutes. Boen might come today. OK. "Oh hey~!! If it isn't the feisty Lissana." “Hi~Lissana tehee~~” “Oh hi!! Hihi~!”     I can never tell the sisters apart. And the steam isn’t helping. Quit giggling. Oh boy, don't let this take a while, just let them do their thing then scoot. "What brings you here, doggy? Want to paddle?"  "Ha! Only if you wash my hair, Shaen... But nah, I've just been out and wanted a quick update on things. I figured you'd like to fill me in as well, you know, like you do everyone in the forest." "Ho~? So you've been "out", huh? Teehee~ Does this concern your little outsider girl, perhaps? Is that why you wouldn't like to swim with us?" "Well, missy, it just so happens that you’re right. Your pretty sly eyes can see through anything huh?" "Teehee~ girl, you can't even comprehend what my eyes can see. Sadly, you know how much I like an equal trade~"     Long flowing hair dancing in the water. Huge f*****g breasts. Clear golden eyes. Shaen, the Divine. Everyone's always got their eyes on you. And you're not even afraid of that, early morning in the spring baths you expose yourself but never in the way that matters to any of us. That part of you makes me so apprehensive. "I don't think there's anything I know that you don't. Isn't that how our relationship works?" "Ahahaha~Oh Sana. Sometimes, I just want to hear things straight from the person's mouth." You're too close dammit. "Sigh. Alright. Yeah she's got a moon ring. And yeah I had a taste of it. I know pretty much nothing about her tho." "My~ so the rumors were true. How interesting~" Stop twirling you i***t---Ah! "AGHH!!" "Ah~ Sana~ for being a good girl, I'll tell you this. I saw Krolo interact with your moon girl the other day~ told her things~ so you better dry up and get going~" "He did f*****g what!?After I told him to back off!?!" "See ya again soon~"     I'm going to rip him to shreds if he's the reason why Boen hasn't met up with me in the LAST THREE DAYS. I'm gonna bite his f*****g neck off. Rip him to bits....! She's here. White hood, red skirt, picnic basket. Here. And I'm soaking wet what am I going to do??? Ahhh why did this have to happen now that she's finally f*****g here. "Lissana?" Oh no. "Heyy what happened? Why are you all wet? Umm uhh… oh!! Take off your clothes." Huh?? "You can use my picnic blanket to dry yourself up and keep you warm." Oh. Okay. "There you go." "Heh. Thanks." "...." .... I can't say anything!   "Um. I wasn’t sure which tree you meant so that’s partly the reason why I haven’t met up with you. Sorry I made you wait but it’s your fault for not being specific! Also my work schedule is kind of all over the place and… Well I had a lot on my mind so…but anyway this was all in the letter so I don’t know why I’m telling you this." “Huh? What letter? and w-what do you mean I wasn’t specific? I told you the tree. Like the tree you took a cute picture with." "Wha---I??? There…but..!!!” Aw dude, did she really not know I meant this tree? What other trees are there? “Bawahahaahahhahha!!---” Huh??? Why’s she suddenly laughing?! “---You know, I was a little worried about meeting you. I heard… a few things and I didn’t know if I can trust you or not. But you just, pfft confidently stating that you told me specific directions to come to this tree made me laugh so hard. You’re not as intimidating as I thought you were. So, I want you to tell me the truth. I want to trust you. But I don't know who you are. So I came up with all of these!!!" What's she doing scrolling down on her phone like that? She wants to get to know me by scrolling? "Yeah… I'm sorry. These are all questions I'd like to ask you. I think there's like 256 of them, haha." 256?? Questions about me??? Holy s**t. Oh that reminds me. "Oh! That reminds me. I went to the beach the other day and found this little clam. I thought you might like it." Pfft. What am I even doing? Giving her a clam. "Ooooh. It's really a clam!! Thanks!" "Yes. It's a real ocean-made clown,,, uh clam." "Pahahaha. Man. You're probably annoyed right? I waltz around the forest unannounced knowing nothing. Now I'm here demanding answers about you. It's kinda unfair." "Nah I don't think so. I mean yeah it's sorta irritating, just a tiny bit. But at least you're making up for it now by being with me." "Ack! Well thank goodness you think so. To be honest I wouldn't be so skeptical if you didn't lick my moon ring in the first place.” "Ah but you gave me your hand!  And moon rings are really valuable around here. We believe the moon is incredibly powerful you see so we feel it when a tiny part of it waltzes around the forest unannounced." "B-but why did you need to lick it??? And I thought you’d give me time to remove it first! I didn’t expect you to straight up lick my hand!" "s**t! I---sorry. I didn’t think about that I was just so happy you agreed. The licking is… we'll it's sort of...to leave a mark on it. You know when dogs pee on walls to mark their territory? It's kinda like that." "… you didn’t have to describe it like that, i***t ahahaha, and you ‘’marked” my ring because?" "Well because I wanted to... protect you. Marking means you’re mine and if you’re mine, the others won’t try to hurt you." "I...um..." Oh my god she's blushing real hard. Stop. Stop blushing you're gonna make me blush, dammit. "I uh, t-thank you…I guess. Um… do you want anything to eat? I prepared lasagna and tiny matcha and ham sandwiches. There's also oranges and grape juice in here so…" "Pfft, yeah sure." "Oh~! I'm surprised you like the matcha bread. That's one nice thing to know about you~!" "Whoa really? Then what about you? Do you like matcha bread?" "Mmm, Eh. It's not that I like it. I just like experimenting~" "Cool." ... I’m really really happy right now but what’s with this sinking feeling … "Can I ask about what you heard about me?" "... ... It's not important anymore. I don’t believe them anyway. How can I? After you honestly answered my questions. This picnic was a trust test. And…I think you passed, barely. So don't worry." I’m not as honest as you think. Things aren’t so easy around here. "Just be honest with me, Lissana. What are you really? And what relationship do you have with the wolf girl?"
