*Virginia* The sun is dipping low over the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink as I find myself alone in Caleb’s beach house… or almost alone, Butterscotch is sprawled out on the rug, his big brown eyes watching me with a mix of hope and curiosity. He’s such a cuddle bug, and I can’t help but smile every time I glance at him. This is the first time I am staying at Caleb’s place while he is away for a game. “Okay, Butterscotch,” I say, grinning as I sift flour into a bowl. “Tonight’s mission: a delicious cake fit for a king.
