As soon as the elevator door slid closed, Luke spat a whine at her. "What is the matter now?" She folded her arms at her chest and met his eye. "How long did you watch me before we met in fencing class?" Luke caught his breath and lowered a stiff chin. He met her stare for a moment before admitting it. "A year." Kess dropped her arms, sneering at him. "A year?" Then, as the elevator door opened, she sneered at the door. Open-mouthed shock stuck on her face as she stormed out to the hall then stormed back toward him. "How in a black hole did you watch me for a year without me knowing about it?"
