Ally’s POV
Darkness.
Cold.
I looked around and saw myself in a throne room. Different statues rooted around me in the shadows. And then I heard a voice, clear as day. A woman.
"Why are you here?"
I hesitated and looked around but there was no one in sight.
"Where is here?"
"The water does not cease.
The cold does not relent.
The fur of snow.
The temperature of the dead."
I moved slowly toward the dark throne, the only source of light being the moonlight coming from one of the open windows.
"What do you want?"
"What we all want. Freedom. Come, hybrid. Find the moonstone."
I opened my eyes, gasping for breath.
Caleb rushed to my side and I looked around only to find myself back in his house, on his bed.
