Ally’s POV
"Were you followed?" He released the grip on my hand and before I could respond, we saw them. They entered the church, their steps slowing as they tried to perceive our exact location.
"Leave now. We have no business with you." One of them said.
"Neither does she." Aiden responded, shifting closer to me. My wolf was growing more agitated by the second. I couldn't attempt to do magic, not when I didn't know the exact number of enemies we were facing. I couldn't risk any of them getting away and reporting what they saw. Then there was the other part that I didn't want to turn Aiden to ashes or lose consciousness and be vulnerable without backup.
I didn't know whether to be grateful Caleb wasn't here or not.
