Marina's POV I stormed in to see my aunt having a hang out with her friends. I guess they were all waiting for me. Ugh, the mansion reeked of old women with old money that absolutely has no business being all over my business, but they certainly were. My aunt stood up to receive me and immediately took me to one high chair I had barely noticed before we reached it. It was decorated with balloons and essence from party poppers. She sat me down like I was some bride and her friends gathered round with eager expressions, and I found it weird. I wasn't in the right state of mind. I needed to avenge my mother but instead I was busy breaking her heart by wanting her killer to play with me and feeling guilty for lying to him when he clearly started all of this, even though he had no memory.
