One Beautiful Word ,"Selfish"

Chapter 1

  “Come on Zeph hit it hard” Our Beta Theo told me as he trained me in the forest at our training area.

“Ughhhh  I can’t do it anymore Ok ,It’s hard” I grunted painfully as I threw myself on the ground breathing hard.

“Get up and do it right will you? Alpha is right there staring at you” He scooted down next to me and whispered helping me to get up. I  got up instantly after hearing that and looked back and there he was ,my father glaring at me clearly showing me his disapproved looks .Being a first child of an Alpha of our pack, I was destined to be the next Alpha of our pack Solis Luna and my father was always more strict towards me. He would make me train every morning and evening to keep me fit, to make me strong enough to protect our pack. But being an Alpha female was not in my list. I mean I didn’t even have  time to do my assignment and homework .I wanted to lead a very peaceful life. How nice it would be if i was borne as a human instead. He didn’t allow me to show a weak side of me, he would beat me ten more times if i ever showed my tears in front of him, too bad I was still a crybaby.

“How will you protect this pack if you  can’t even punch it right? You can’t even smash these simple blocks. How will you protect this pack members from those filthy Rouges” My father started scolding me.

‘There goes the lecture of the day, just how nice it would be if I  can just roll my eyes and leave. This place is more filthy than those lucky wolves anyway’ I thought in my head while he continued scolding me.

“Women in our pack were  not supposed to be this weak. In fact they should be stronger than the male. Moon Goddess herself came down taking the form of a human and fought with the Witches before. How can her generation be this Weak? Go and run 20 laps and don’t even think of coming back before finishing, you got it?”

He spat at me one last time and left the spot.

I released a breath that I didn’t know was holding. ”You ok?” Theo asked me  

“ Yeah why wouldn’t I be ?” I faked a smile and shrugged it off pretending to be fine for the thousandth time.

“You know what I respect our Alpha a lot for not treating males and females differently. Some Packs don’t even allow women to enter training sessions, they don’t even know how to defend themselves.” He smiled 

“Out of all the People  why does he have to be the one to break the stereotype ?” I scoffed and started to run for laps leaving Theo dumbfounded.

After finishing it I went to my school “Why are you late again Z? Class is about to start”  Winnie ,my  Bestfriend told me and dragged me in the class.

“Wait Stevi hasn’t arrived yet? Ms. Anderson will kill him” Winnie gasped dramatically .Well for  a high school student I don’t have a lot of freinds except for Winnie and Stevi but they are all I can ask for. Winnie is a shifter and Stevi is a human and they are the only one who knows all of my secrets. To be honest Stevi is the only human i can trust and that’s why he knows of our existence.

Not long after Stevi walked in through the door looking like a Cadaver.

“You are late again Stevi “ Ms. Anderson started to scold him adjusting her big thick glasses.

“Sorry” Stevi uttered .He looked lifeless and dull he was very pale. ’Something is just not right with him today ‘ I thought inside .He came and sat behind me sighing and plopped down the desk.

“You OK ?” I asked him nudging him with my pen. He looked up at me with misty eyes.

“Hey hey what’s wrong with you ? Don’t cry tell us slowly” Winnie comforted him,he looked at us back and forth.

“ I killed some Chics” He whispered with a shaking voice.

”WHAT!!!” We mouthed at him with our eyes widden .
