Chapter 7: Getting Ready

*** Stephanie ***

I held on to the door; my heart could not stop beating fast. Thena was as restless as I was ‘So is Titan’ she said giggling ‘Well its 12 now, so we really have to get in.’ I told her. I opened the door and there he was. His scent was overpowering every ounce of strength I had in my body. I wanted him to catch me, carry me. I had to make sure they didn’t know or that I wasn’t being obvious.

“Alpha Charles, Luna Elaine, Andre” I managed to get words out of my mouth, which made Them laugh. I was looking around and staring at him. “Good you’re here, Alpha Charles and his family are here early for the presentation at sundown. Tonight, is a full moon so expecting a grander celebration for the two of you” mom greeted. “You should go get ready dearest” Luna Elaine added. I made a small nod and went upstairs passing by him knowing full well what he would think it was, but I would hope he didn’t. I wanted to make sure it was him, I wanted to make sure he was my mate. But according to Thena, I’m just fooling myself.

‘Well, I don’t think there’s any other way to prove it’ Then said with a smirk. I did not know wolves could smirk ‘YES WE CAN!’ she replied.

“Oh Stephy, I almost forgot,” My mom called “hm?” was all I could say without staring at Andre’s eyes. Honestly, I could do better ‘You think?!’ Thena chortled in. “What’s the name sweety?” my mom asked. “name?” I replied knowing full well what she meant ‘my name sweety’ . Thena replied, slightly annoyed at the fact that I’m distracted enough to forget her name. ‘I know silly’ I never thought I’d get an expressive wolf. ‘I know you love me’ Thena teasingly replied and purred.

“Oh, uh, Thena” I replied, then went upstairs to my room. I took my clothes of. All I could think of was Andre, Thena purred at my thought ‘I like that’ she said with a giggle. After the shower, I went out with nothing but a towel only to find out that I forgot to close the bloody door. ‘Well look what the wolf brought in’ Thena giggled and wagged her tail. ‘Our mate at the door of your brother’s room, and us with a towel. Titan is restless right about now” Thena added then purring, she was all over my mind. ‘Titan?’ Right, I forgot, Titan was the name of Andre’s wolf. I heard Thena giggle. ‘Right, shoot, Andrea.’ I quickly realized I had to close that door. I ran to the door and all I could said was “Hi” then slammed the door in his face. Andre’s Face! My future alpha’s face! I could only hope he’d forget about this or the fact that I might have looked like a freaking tomato.

*** Andre ***

‘Mate!’ Titan kept saying ‘Mark her, mark her right here, right now!’ he kept insisting. ‘What is up with you?’ I asked all I could hear was his restless steps and tail wagging ‘I know she’s our mate but I can’t mark her now! We’re in front of family.’ I continued ‘FINE!’ I heard the loudest huff a wolf could ever do, even the big bad wolf from red riding hood's tale would be proud.

“Oh Stephy, I almost forgot,” her mom called “hm?” she replied, she was staring at the stairs ``What's the name sweety?” her mom asked. “Name?” she replied “Oh, uh, Thena” she continued, then went upstairs to her room. I haven’t given it much thought since I found out about the name but Thena, her wolf’s name was pretty. ‘That’s because she is,’ Titan said, still wagging his tail. s**t! Just thinking of her makes me hard. How on earth am I going to get through this ceremony knowing full well I am presenting his brother today. I went and excused myself because if I didn't, it would be hard enough that the slacks I was wearing could not even hide it. “Um, where's the powder room?” I asked Ethan, whispering. “Oh uh, it’s down the hall but I think Ton is in there, he’s been there for 5 minutes now. You can use the one in my room though. You know where it is' ' Ethan, bless him, replied. “Thanks' ' I replied then went ahead going up the stairs. Anthony soon came out of the powder room. I did not want to release it where her family was near, so I was counting on him taking his sweet time. I was on my way to Ethan’s room, but what I did not realize was that her room was adjacent to where Ethan’s was. Her door was open, she was not in her room, probably in the shower. The shower. I wanted to do that with her. Please her while she’s in there, cherish her. r****h her. Thinking of all the things I wanted to do to her made it harder. Her scent, her room was filled with it. I could drown myself in it all day.

I was about to go into Ethan’s room when I heard a door open. I peaked, she had two dresses, one for the presentation and the other for her first shift. I could tear any of those off her in seconds. A grin escaped my face. I turned around to open the door to Ethan’s room, when I heard a gasp and her scent intensified. I turned back towards her room to see if something was wrong only to realize she was staring at me, with nothing but a towel on. I could take that off her now and make her feel everything she has been making me feel over the past 12 hours. “Hi” was all she said before she slammed the door shut on me. I honestly do not know how to react; her naked body was just right in front of me. Her eyes, those golden-brown eyes, those lips, red as a cherry. Her skin, so soft. Parts of her breasts protruding from the towel. Her figure was perfectly visible even with a towel on. Every inch of my body wanted her, wanted to see her, wanted to go to her. There was no doubt I wanted her. All of her. Before I knew it, I was as hard as a rock. I rushed into Ethan’s bathroom and aimed for release. I tried to muffle my groans as best as I could. She could hear me. I knew that. f**k, I wanted her to hear me. I moaned as quietly as humanly possible. I thought of her, everything about her. The next thing I knew, Ethan was calling me. I was already panting. Sweat filled my body. I took a shower, got dried, then dressed myself. I heard a knock from the outside “Dude, it’s almost time!” Ethan screamed. “What’s taking you so long?” he asked. I opened the door making sure nothing was out of place. “It’s nothing. Just nerves' ' I replied ‘Sure… nothing. Thena Enjoyed it by the way’ Titan teased. s**t, they heard. How strong is she that even through soundproofed rooms she could hear me. The thought of her hearing me was satisfying. I wondered what she thought of it. I heard Titan chortle at my thought. ‘I know’ he said then retreated to the back to lie down.

“Apollo was the first to sense her this morning.” Ethan mentioned “Thena, Steph’s wolf. He was excited. She was the first one he sensed it was exactly 12. I woke up to Apollo screaming so loud I don’t think I ever heard him scream like that to be honest” Ethan continued. We were walking towards the backyard, The Alpha’s home had special access to the ceremonial grounds. We were headed that way. Ethan talked all about Apollo and Thena’s bond. “She’s special isn’t she” I replied “There’s no doubt about it. We should go; it is your first presentation ceremony. You should get ready.” Ethan said, patting me on the shoulder.

After I heard him close the door, I had to peek. I don’t know how I’m ever going to forget that. ‘Well, I won’t let you’ Thena teased ‘Really?! This is your embarrassing moment too!’ I replied. All Thena did was giggle. I couldn’t help but laugh when all of a sudden I heard a knock. “Stephy? Its mom” she called “come in.” Mom came in and her presence was calming. No wonder she's Luna's hand. I do hope I’d have that. ‘You will’ Then replied ‘Do you want to get started?’ she asked, I simply nodded “Alright, you my dear have nothing to worry about. I’ll do both your hair and your makeup” mom said. Looking at me and patting my shoulder. “You’re going to be fine dearest.” I missed this. I missed her presence. She was telling me stories of when I was younger. There was no hint of Louis in our conversation. She was talking about her memories with me. I wanted to hear it.

But amid all that sweet reminiscing. I could hear muffled moans and groans coming from Ethan’s room. The only person in there was Andre, what on earth is he doing? “Ethan is downstairs with your dad and Louis,” my mom mentioned. So, it was Andre who I was hearing. Electricity rushed down to my spine. Parts of my body I never thought could perk up. I wanted to hear more. And apparently, so did Thena. ‘Let me help,’ Thena stated while wagging her tail. His grunts and moans were becoming stronger. I wanted to be with him. I wanted to see him. He was keeping it in but barely. His scent was growing stronger. I could smell his arousal a mile away if he was. But he was merely in the next room, so I wanted to go to him. My mother was still talking. All I did was smile but my thoughts seemed to have melted and only focused on him.

“DUDE!” Thena whimpered and I flinched “Dearest, are you okay?” my mom asked “Yep, Ethan’s being too loud” I replied. “How can you hear him? I couldn’t even hear a word he was saying. All the walls are soundproof.” My mom asked “I don’t know I just could '' I replied. I was just as confused as she was. I thought us with wolves could make us hear better. Apparently, it doesn’t apply when sound proofing is present. “There, you’re all set” my mom said. “What do you think?” She asked. I looked at myself and I could say that my mom knew what I liked. My hair had soft curls, soft braids etched in the side, flowers decorating my hair. Makeup was soft and subtle but enough that it looked like I tried. “I love it” I replied. I was smiling “Good” she kissed me on the forehead. “Only the best for you dear, now get dressed, it’s almost sundown” She reminded “I’ll wait for you outside.” She continued.
