Lucas sounded intimidating. His voice was loud and fearless as he faced the enemy with a fist curled in his front.
Somehow, Emily's body instantly melted and stopped moving, unintentionally obliging to the stranger's order. It was not because she has lost hope of even making it out alive, but the other way around— Lucas's presence brought ease to Emily's system and the back of her mind retained the Alpha's words.
