“He is turning six in a few months, is he not?”
“He is,” Emily replied, nodding, as she watched Cornelius run around the fence's interior with Elder Veronica.
The little boy has always been so energetic, full of ideas to entertain himself. Due to the village being filled with old people like Veronica, Cornelius never had a playmate of his same age. Aside from the kind old people in the place, he could not grab a much better friend than himself most of the time.
“Time really does pass by. The day you arrived here felt like just yesterday.”
Emily could not agree more.
The day she found the village, the clouds were much dimmer than usual. Cloudy and windy. There must have been a forming typhoon elsewhere.
She could still remember how the raindrops started pouring as she laid eyes upon
