The announcement went out on a Wednesday morning.
Sebastian had wanted to keep it simple. A post on social media. A few words. But Julian pointed out that the media would find out anyway, and it was better to control the story than to let someone else control it.
So they decided to do a short interview with a reporter they trusted. A woman named Kelly who had covered their press conference fairly. She came to the apartment, sat on the couch, and asked them questions.
"Who proposed first?"
Sebastian looked at Julian. "I did. In the kitchen. While making pasta."
Kelly laughed. "Romantic."
"The pasta boiled over," Julian said. "It was a mess."
