Finally Found You

CHAPTER II

AMARA

“Stand up Amara!” My father mind links me from the other side of the training grounds just seconds right after he threw me, his wolf Bane was larger than Taryn so he easily overpowered us. We were both on our wolf forms and were already starting to train a day after my graduation ceremony, we were there for about two hours now, and I have to say, it wasn’t a piece of cake.

My father strongly believed that a future Luna should not only make a packhouse presentable but also know how to defend herself in combat. My mother was against the idea of me training, and they bickered about it yesterday for almost an hour. Eventually, my father won the subject and now, woke me up at dawn to start training.

“You need to put more power when you attack, also try to keep your feet firmly on the ground. In that way, you can have a good grip when you advance.” My father lectured as he nudged me up.

“Yes, father, I’ll try to remember that,” I told him as I shrugged dirt off Taryn’s fur and let out a tiring whine.

Father noticed our tired response. “I guess it’s time to call it a day, Ame. This is after all your first day maybe I shouldn’t be pushing you too much.”

With that, Taryn and I bowed our heads and headed back to the packhouse. The first day of training was quite intense, well, maybe for me, but I was just lucky that it was my father and he was already going easy on me. I took a quick, hot shower to ease up my muscles from earlier, and it instantly made me feel so relaxed. I change into my baggy shirt and baggy pants and made my way to the kitchen. I made myself a sandwich and sat on the island enjoying my meal.

The day went by pretty quickly. Once my mother found me in the kitchen eating my sandwich in peace, she told me to hurry up and help her change the weekly decorations at the packhouse. Yellow Moon had a really decent sized pack for its name, we are one of the largest amongst the others, not to mention our packhouse, it was huge and spacious, considering many pack members come and go as they please, it’s like a resting house for everyone, which is why it needed weekly cleaning and attention. I couldn’t blame my mother for being busy most of the time doing this kind of work. It was already around 12 noon when we finally finished redecorating everything. My mother certainly took her time in choosing the colors for the next week, it was a soft lilac and canary yellow and I have to admit that both of the colors really complemented each other, it made the packhouse brighter and surprisingly comfortable.

“Mrs. Rose thank you so much for helping us out today, please do have rest and help yourself for lunch in the kitchen.” My mother told Mrs. Rose, our trusted Omega, and my mother’s right hand in our house duties.

“Likewise, Luna, and thank you so much. Do mind link me if you need any help. I’ll excuse myself now, see you around Ame.” She bowed at us before leaving me and my mother in the living room.

“I’m beat! Who knew doing Luna duties could so arduous?” I said as I plopped myself onto the sofa.

“That’s not even half of it Ame, there’s still more to do.” My mother added as she went near me and patted me on the head. “You did great for today, go enjoy the rest of the afternoon.”

 “Really? You sure you don’t need any more help around the house?”

“I can manage these by myself,” My mother said as she pinched and kissed my cheek. “Go have fun.”

Right after my mother let me go, I went straight to the kitchen doing my happy tippy toe-dance of delight as I imagined what kind of food that I’m going to eat this time. I grabbed some chips from the pantry, made myself another sandwich, and got myself a can of cola from the fridge. I took my time in walking to the packhouses’ theater room and appreciated the lovely decorations that I, my mother, Mrs. Rose and the other omegas did just earlier, it gave the packhouse a homey and warm feeling, it was so calming to look at.

When I got to the theater room, I carefully chose a seat that had the best view of the large screen that was in front of me, when I finally decided where I should sit, I made sure that all of the food was in arms reach before I try watching the film. I decided to try and binge-watch all the Harry Potter movies again the whole afternoon, I have taken an interest in this film since Emi introduced it to me. It was about magic, wizards and witches, a game called quidditch, and a b***h called Umbridge.

“This movie again? Don’t you know any other films than this Ame? This is the third time this month” Taryn spoke.

“You know it’s my favorite movie series Taryn, plus, I have had a long day, I need to enjoy myself,” I said as I bit a piece of my sandwich.

“Enjoy eating that is.” Taryn snickered at her comment, which made me pout and snicker as well as she slowly made herself scarce at the back of my mind and I could feel her relax. I really love her, she so witty. I sat back, and made myself comfortable, and enjoyed the movie.

*FLASHBACK* + [Unknown POV]

“3…2…1! Ready or not here I come, Ame!” I yelled as I go look for her in Yellow Moon forest. It was our favorite spot for hide and seek.

“You can’t find me, Bry!” I hear her faint voice and searched for it. Finally, I found a giggling white-dressed girl behind a bush who cannot contain her laughter.

“HA! Found you, Ame!”

“No fair! That was too quick!” She pouted which accentuated her button nose. Goddess, she was cute.

“Then you could’ve chosen a hiding spot where it’s not a bush and stop giggling Ame hahahahaha”

“Hmph! Let’s go again, Bry! 10… 9….8….” She quickly started counting and I ran as fast as I could trying to find a hiding spot and doing my best not to giggle.

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

[Unknown POV]

I smiled and as I reminisced about the memory I had with Amara. It was from a long time ago back when I was 16 and she was still 10. I already felt the mate pull for her at that time. I doubt if she ever remembers me since it has already been years since I last visited Yellow Moon and it was because my father and Alpha Liam had something to discuss both of our pack’s treaties, and now, I am doing the same.

“Deep in thought are we now Alpha?” My Gamma, Mr. Boe, said as he saw me lost in thought.

“Apparently so, Boe, after all, it’s been a long time since I last visited Yellow Moon.”

“Ahhh yes.. the Yellow Moon pack, I do agree Alpha. It’s been a fairly long time. Last I remember taking you there was when you were still 16, playing with sweet Amara.” He said as he looked at me in the driver’s mirror. I smiled and nodded in response to what he said and continued looking out the window.

Alpha Liam mind linked me earlier this morning to come to Yellow Moon as soon as possible because he wanted to discuss something important for our packs. The drive from Darkmoon to Yellow Moon was quite long, it took almost an hour to get there. As the car drove closer to Yellow Moon, I felt really uneasy. I could also feel my wolf Alex pacing back and forth at the back of my mind. We were both so uneasy, what has gotten into us today?
