Chapter 3

Alpha Adam’s P.O.V.

I stepped inside the house of Alpha Regan. Right now I was burning in the fire of hatred and revenge. I wanted to set this house on fire but I restrained myself. I had to wait to take out their heart and then I would enjoy their pain.

I looked around but there was no one. Before I asked anyone, I heard a female voice. I moved in the direction of the voice.

Peeking through the half-open door and looking inside, a female figure abruptly brought me to a halt. I moved further and the emotion inside me became stronger and stronger. My wolf seemed to want to burst through the skin of my body.

“Don’t tell me this. I will not forgive you. I will run away from here.” A female voice caught my attention.

Before I could go further, Alpha Regan and his wife appeared. I sat on a couch, looking at them. The feelings of a while ago, turned into hatred again. They bowed and didn’t dare to look at my face.

“What do you think you could deceive us?” I asked, looking at their faces. Their scared faces were pleasing me.

“Where is your lovely daughter?” I asked with a devilish smile. I was not in a hurry. I wanted to have more fun by scaring them. I searched everywhere but Enzo was not there. It was good for him. If he had come in front of me, I would have killed him today.

“Alpha, she is innocent.” Regan pleaded. I laughed at his plea.

“My brother was innocent too. What was his fault?” I asked with a frown.

“This was an accident. Enzo did not intend to kill him.” Regan tried to explain to him but I raised my hand to stop.

“Let’s not talk about the past. I thought you would be troubled, that's why I have come to take what belongs to me now.” I said with a grin. I knew his daughter was not there, so it was a better chance that I would end up with Alpha Regan’s family. The tradition would be followed and the revenge would have done.

Suddenly, I felt strange. The room was filling with hotness. I tried to adjust but the feelings were too extreme. I rubbed my chest.

“Alpha, are you okay?” My Beta asked in a worried tone.

“I…I don’t...” As soon as I looked around, I was left speechless. My sight looked at her and froze. I couldn’t take breath.

A girl dressed in a black dress with long black hair, a round innocent face, pink lips, and hazel-colored eyes was standing a few inches away from me. She was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. It wasn’t that I didn’t see beautiful girls, but I never liked looking at girls.

I noticed that the temperature of the room suddenly increased, making me feel hot. Every inch and cell of my body was caressed by billions of millions of trillions of sparkles and tingles that flowed through my skin. I was taken aback when she glanced at me.

After looking at her, I almost forgot everything. I forgot why I was here. The anger and hatred which was growing in me while coming here, was nowhere to be found.

Why was my body getting hot?

Why was my heart pounding?

Why was my gaze not turning away from her face?

This feeling was strange. I didn’t experience this before.

“Alpha King.’ I regained consciousness when I heard my Beta’s whisper. I looked around and was shocked. I came to a halt in my bewilderment and assessed the girl in front of me.

“Who is she?” After a long, horrible silence, my heavy voice emerged in the room.

“She is the daughter of Regan.” Jag, standing beside me, spoke.

I shook my head as if to bring myself to consciousness, but it seemed impossible. These feelings were new for me.

My wolf was going crazy in my head. He was having mixed feelings about everything going on and finally understood why when he spoke.

"Mate' he growled, and I stood up.

She was my fated mate, the daughter of my enemy. This can't be happening. I looked at her and approached her. When I walk past her, her body jumps. I want her to eventually dread me. I didn't want her to believe she was safe. My ego was greater than the mate's pull. I would never kneel down to an enemy’s daughter; I was much too powerful for that.

She's so near that I can smell her all over the place but I had to control myself. I was Alpha Adam. I could control myself.

“What if you can’t control it?” My wolf growled and my face darkened. No, I wasn’t weak. I wouldn’t let this happen even if I had to kill her. I decided to move towards her. I had to kill her before she overpowered me. She trembled, looking at my face. Yes that was good. She must be afraid of me.

I grabbed her neck in my tight grip and started squeezing her neck. I had to kill her right now. I pressed hard on her neck. Her breath started getting heavy and her eyes filled with water. She coughed badly and squirmed in my grip.

“No, how could you kill her? She is our mate! Leave her.” My wolf was yelling in my thoughts once again, which made me so furious that I almost lost my mood.

My wolf was deceiving me. How easily he forgot the death of my brother.’ I was not in the mood to listen to him. I was about to end her chapter.

She is my mate. I lured years for her but I was not going to accept her.

“Then reject her but let her live. Don’t kill her.” My wolf’s voice rang again. I looked at the dying girl in my hand.

My heart ached. She was squirming in my grip. But I was not going to leave her.

I am Alpha king. I am powerful. How a girl could change my emotions. The emotion of hatred should not end. For that she had to die.
