Hey! It's me Bella: A Vacation to Remember

" Thanks for watching, it's me Bella leaving you with a quote, why choose to be sad when you can be happy, happy weekends everyone, till next time, Ciao!"

I put down my camera and decided to prepare for my trip bound to Bantayan Island Cebu, the so-called Maldives in our place. I looked in the mirror while checking my outfit. I'm wearing my high waisted shorts paired with my white spaghetti strap top, which greatly enhanced my curves, covered with my floral loose kimono and to top it all of my gladiator sandals. " That's one good looking gal," I said to myself. I'm brushing my loose blonde curls and fixing my side bangs.

Just then I heard a car honking outside.

" Hey, are you ready? Time is not supposed to be wasted you know, we still have hours to get to the place," shouted James, while looking at his side mirror fixing his newly colored ash burn hairstyle. He is tall, with a large physique, but despite the weight, he has this oozing confidence which I find so adorable. He basically can wear anything and can able to pull it off.

" I'll be there in a minute," I replied back while I grabbed my Pink Herschel bag, hurriedly went downstairs, and slowly approaching the Black Toyota Fortuner parking outside my gate. " I really do apologize for the long wait, I was filming a video of my Travel must haves. How many minutes were you guys waiting?"

" It doesn't matter. Anyways, hop in, Bantayan Island here we come!" James shrieked.

So I got in the car, and we took off, ready for our adventure of the day. With me are my closest friends, James and Carmela. Carmela has this short straight black hair, plump physique, dark colored skin, which made her very attractive. She happens to be the loud mouth of the group and has this boisterous laughter, that made her stand out amongst a crowd. Both of which are my colleagues.

Aside from vlogging, I am working as a customer service representative under a known online store, been doing the job for about a year now. Basically, our main responsibility is to cater to customer's complaints and make sure that they were able to receive what they had ordered from our site. The job itself was so routine and boring, thus we managed to get a week time off for this vacation. A perfect getaway from the stress of the city, of the job, a perfect place to reflect and think. I had just recently come from a breakup, a very painful one, and I need time to just leave everything behind, try to hit the reset button.

Bantayan Island is 5 hours long drive if you came from the city, we need to get off at Hagnaya port, an hour ride on a ferry to the island proper itself. We traveled at around 6 in the morning and was able to step off the ferry boat around noon. From the coast of the port itself, you can already see the clear ocean that this island has to offer. We were greeted by friendly locals, rode a motorcycle to Kota Beach Resort, the resort that we booked.

" Finally, Bantayan Island, one thing I can check off from my bucket list. Sea breeze, Gosh! How I miss this scent." Carmela said as she slowly dragged her luggage to the reception of the resort. " Reservations under Ms. Carmela Almario please."

We were handed complimentary drinks as a welcome gift from the resort.

" Right this way Maam" resort staff escorted us to our room. " This is the key, don't hesitate to ask for assistance, our hotel reception is opened 24 hours to accommodate you. Thank you and enjoy your stay!"

We booked the beachfront suite, with a wide glass outdoor terrace overlooking the ocean. The room has this native vibe, nipa and bamboo on the walls with beige and white curtains, two queen-sized bed, with your own hot and cold shower, cable T.V, own wifi connection and a mini kitchenette. Just perfect for relaxation. We were situated just in front of the ocean, you can hear the sound of the waves just outside your doorstep.

" This is the perfect vacation getaway," I muttered to myself, as I unpacked my things.

As soon as we finished unpacking, changed on our swimming outfits, we went out of our room to explore the resort. We walked by the beach, it has this vast shoreline, with fine white sand. The place is definitely crowded with tourists.

" You have got to take me a picture of this angle." James handed me his phone.

We settle down at one spot, grab his camera and started taking pictures. We just have to capture the beauty of the place. It did not fail to meet our expectations, the island itself really is a gem. We spent a couple of hours by the shore, trying to feel the sea breeze and getting our self a tan.

One of the reasons why we chose to book our stay in that resort, it's because there is a major summer event, Wet and Wild 2016, that's going to take place on that day. It's a major party event wherein you can get to meet a lot of people, drink and dance all night long. It has been our leisure activity as a group, we tend to bond over alcoholic drinks, and just laughed all night long. We find that comforting, in times when we are happy, but most of the times when we are sad. So we see this as a perfect opportunity for us to have fun and just dance all your pain away.

As we relaxed by the shore, we can already see the stage and the DJ's booth has been set up, speakers being carried out, and large foam machines on the side, definitely the highlight of the party.

James faces towards me smiling, " This is gonna be one fun, and long night!"

" You bet that right, better be ready with your sexy outfits on," I said.

Little did I know, that this event is one of the most meaningful trips that I had made. This was the start of everything, the chapter of my life is beginning to unfold right before this very island.
