There was a glimmer of hope in Emily's mind. "You really think that will work?" "It's worth a shot," Sarah responded. "But we have to hurry. The longer we take, the more time we give Victor to hit back." With vengeance in their hearts, Emily thought her mind was racing with endless possibilities as they drove on dimly lit roads. They had come so far, but she didn't want to give that up to Victor. Their only weapon was the truth, and they were going to hit back with it. Safe and sound after a tense ride, the diner on the outskirts of town was quiet. They slipped inside, finding a booth at the very corner of the room where they wouldn't be overheard. "Okay, so let's go over what we have," Sarah said, opening her notebook. "We need to be strategizing this thing and applying next steps."
