One week.
It had been a week since she was removed from her position as Executive Assistant to CEO Shawn Alexander Montefalco.
And for one whole week, Nicole had taken the opportunity to rest — away from judgmental eyes, and most of all, away from the man she had loved. The man she trusted, gave her all to… only to be hurt in the end. He made her believe he loved her too, when in truth, she was just a game to him.
She had only managed to escape her problems for a week, and today marked the end of that break.
It was Monday. Whether she liked it or not, it was time to return to work — not as Alexander’s assistant this time, but as an engineer.
