“Why didn’t you tell me?”
Nicole was forced to turn and face Alexander when he asked the question. It had been a few minutes since their heated encounter ended, and she had chosen to remain silent, hoping to gather her thoughts.
But no matter how hard she tried to think, she felt like she was just fooling herself. What was there to think about? It was over. She had surrendered, and the worst part was—she gave herself to her boss.
“Why didn’t you tell me that you were a virgin?”
Alexander repeated his question when she remained silent for minutes.
“I-I didn’t know that it was something you needed to know…”
Nicole finally whispered. Though her voice was soft, she knew he had heard her. She saw his jaw clench, confusing her even more.
