CHAPTER FOUR

1050 Words
The gates opened before his Rimac Nevera fully stopped. In front of the exquisite villa gravel shifted beneath the tires as the engine went quiet. The villa stood exactly as he left it. silent. controlled. untouched. Under the moonlight, the fountain spewed glowing waters. The grass danced to the breeze of the night . Inhaling as his feet touched the ground soft but firmly. The Belgian Malinois, who was still suddenly oud softly happy but yet composed with little barks and snorts, snuffled around his legs. Squatting to ruffle with his face contorted. “Welcome back young master.” I was awaiting your arrival, but you seemed not to show up yesterday. Mr Fredrick said. Rising to an upright position and staring at the butler, he took off his coat and handed it over to Fredrick. With no words, he made his way inside. Making his way into the vast living room Where's the chandelier hung in the center, swinging gently, almost like it was aware of his presence . Walking forward to the dining table where a meal was prepared for him. He just sat there. His fingers played around his wrist and paused midway. His eyes pierced straight ahead into nothingness and then a thought escaped his mouth. Who is she? Interrupted by Mr Fredrick. “ Who are you talking about, sir? Taking aback to the present,It's nothing, Fredrick," he said, placing his 3rd Becker on the tray Fredrick had been holding for over 5 minutes. Staring at him with those brown red eyes, the dog knew something was wrong, snuffling around him and letting out a whimper. With a smile, he said,“ Fredrick, take Luca back to his quarter." Every step he took was a gentle, elegant pace, retiring to his library after dinner. He barely ate, but somehow, his thoughts already filled him up. Over a thousand books on the shelf and all touched, the vastness of this library held memories of not only his favorite books but also books that he ought to read to become the man he is. Right from childhood, always in the top tier class of people. The school he attended, the sports he played, the martial skills he learned, the combat he had to learn both for self-defense and protection. Most of them left the stories of marks untold. But somewhere along the line to become the man he is, he had to be cold, unshaken, calculative, outstanding. SEBASTIAN CROWE, CEO OF THE CROWE GROUP OF COMPANIES. But what people didn't see coming was the power he built around him. A man of few words. “Who is she? His fingers played across the large table as orange flames from the lanterns danced with shadows on the wall. Pulling a chair out and taking a seat. Arms resting with his long legs stretched underneath the table. Using his fingers to trace the markings on the chair and then to the table. Reaching for a quail feather already dipped in ink, then onto the papers he let his thoughts flow freely as the night wind would take him. Every letter gently written, crafting words only himself knew. Placing the feather back into the ink after a few strokes. Again Again And again, like an endless wave. A pause Finally letting go of the pen and staring into the paper which he had written on. A puzzled look flashed across his face. Wrapping up the paper like a scroll, his hands reached for a drawer. Gently he placed it in. Staring into the space between each shelf in the library, his legs tapped the floor. Walking through the library, he picked up a book, leaning on that spot, he flipped through pages, catching a glimpse of his favorite chapters. But something about the night made Sebastian uneasy, and he was slightly irritated. …knock… knock… “Sir,” it was Fredrick calling out. “Come on Fredrick,” Sebastian voiced out. “Is everything alright Sir?” Your tea has been sitting cold for over two hours now! “Oh, I don't need to have tea tonight." “Okay sir!. “Fredrick, did my pa drop any information when I was gone?” “Yes, he did, sir. He went to the villa and handed over certain documents which I kept in his study”. “Alright Fredrick, get me a cup of coffee and bring the documents along with you." “I'll be in my room,” Sebastian said, dismissing Fredrick. Sounds of water hitting the floor could be heard from the bathroom as he stepped out and gently changed into a sleeping robe. Then a knock came in. Come in Frederick Fredrick with a trolley, the upper part held the cup of coffee and the bottom held the documents Sebastian had asked for . “Here's your coffee sir!" he said, placing it on the side table. Here are the documents you asked for before he could place them down, Sebastian interrupted. “Hand them over to me. “Here sir! Sir, your Grandma called, she asked to speak to you because you were not taking her calls. She said to inform you about the grand family celebration coming up soon. Tell her, I would not be attending. …mmm… But sir.. “But what, Frederick? “Your cousin’s wedding! “And?” “Nothing sir.” “You can leave now, Frederick, Sebastian said . Picking up the glass of coffee, he sipped gently, flipping through those files. His eyes searched for words not there. Rolling from the top of the paper to the bottom. A pair of brown eyes danced around his mind. “He picked up his phone and placed a call.” “Good morning Mr Crowe, what do I owe this call for such an early hour?” Marcus said. “There's someone I want you to get for me." “I was at RNL two nights ago and this girl spilled the DRC I ordered on me.” “Whoa, so do you want to punish her, or do you want us to deal with h her ourselves.” “No,” she remains untouched. Just give me every single piece of information about her. Find her and leave no piece of information behind.
